Well I just booked a last minute Birthday trip for my girls their B-Day's are a month apart so we are going March 2-7th...:cake: Has anyone ever stayed at the Anaheim Plaza? I got a really good deal, hope it was not a big mistake:rolleyes: Thanks.

We stayed there last June. It is a perfectly fine older motel! I think it's been there since DL opened! It's old, but clean and just fine. The pool is huge! I recommend the breakfast buffet! It is delicious and kids under 9 eat free!

We've stayed there twice and have enjoyed it both times. The rooms are large. I didn't have any noise issues. The kids enjoyed the large pool. And, it's nice and close to DL entrance.

The roooms are large and it was nice to have a fenced in little backyard area. The little store inside was very convenient for snacks and such. The bar was great! They have a spot in the lobby you can sit with your child and order a drink. I really appreciated that since it was just the child and I. They even gave me a to go cup to take it back to my room. It was perfect, put the child to bed and sit on the back porch with a drink and a smoke, and I could still see the child sleeping away in the bed:lmao:

Seems as if I'm in the minority. Tried it last May and won't be back. I went for the premiere of Pirates 3 and waited too long to book. This was the only place let with a decent price and within walking distance.

The room was large, but very well worn. The carpet and bed linens were very thin. Everything was clean but it just showed its age. The tile in the bathroom had some holes, but again everything was clean. I was disappointed that a free breakfast was advertised on the booking site I used (can't remember which it was) but there is no free breakfast. The walk was farther than I cared for. I'm used to staying right across the street, so while the Plaza was not too far to walk, just farther than I'm used to and that makes a difference at the end of the day.

We stayed there once, it was just okay. Clean, though, but nothing special other than that giant pool. I think it would be perfect for an inexpensive last-minute trip.

We stayed there last summer as well as last November. Yes, it's an old hotel but we liked it. My biggest problem with hotels is being able to hear other people. I didn't hear anyone else, so that as great. Also, they have a fridge and microwave which were wonderful for bottled water (it's too expensive in the parks) and stuff for breakfast and/or snacks. The pool was a God send last summer when the temp was 108 outside...ugh. I thought the walk wasn't bad at all....especially if you stop halfway to get breakfast at Denny's...haha.

We will more than likely stay here again on our trips in the future.

The hotel is one block down from the light that you cross Harbor to go into DLR. I like crossing to DLR right at that light, then walking along the DL side vs. the hotel side. Tends to move faster. But, it definitely is an older hotel. While it might not be the number one stellar hotel out there, we've always liked it and I don't think you'll have any troubles with it. Parking is a bit of a bear, you may have to park on the other side of the hotel, depending upon when you get there.
Oh, about the free meals, KIDS under 9 eat free there. The restaurant only serves breakfast and dinner, though. We brought stuff for breakfast with us when we were there, so didn't have that issue.

I think they also charge $4 a day for parking. However, last time we were there they forgot to put it on our bill. I told the lady and she said not to worry about it. So free parking for us...woohoo! I doubt we'll be as lucky next time though.
