I figured I would buy the ART passes but wanted to know if there is any shortcuts to walking back to the hotel from DL? I am sure if you are there at closing it can get crazy.

Any other hints or tips staying at the Anaheim Hilton? Thanks.

If you were to walk all the way back, I think your best best would be to walk through DTD and to cut through the Grand Californian to get to Disneyland Drive. But, if it was me, I'd want to save my feet after walking all day, so I'd exit towards to ART transportation center and compare the lines for the ART versus the line for the parking lot tram that loads in the same area. I think this is the Timon parking lot. If you are able to catch the tram to the far end of the parking lot (next to Katella), you will be around 2/3 of the way back to the hotel. You might also consider walking to this tram stop in the morning as well if you want to go first thing. I hear there can be lots of competition for the first ART buses early in the morning during the busy season.

I think walking across Katella to the Timon parking lot and catching the Disney tram is the best way--I wouldn't even bother with ART. The Disney tram (Lion King Tram) drops you off at the front entrance.

Our friends like staying at the Hilton when they go to DL--we have never stayed there. I think that there was a special "mousesavers" deal--have you looked at the mousesavers website?

Have a great trip!

We have stayed at the Hilton before and loved it. We got a pretty good rate without using the Mousesaver discount. We didn't need tickets.

Remember they don't always use the Timon parking lot, so you don't want to try to get on a tram when there are none running!

About 15 years ago I stayed at the Hilton and it was plenty nice...I remember walking to the park from there (I was younger then too, LOL).

My best bet thinking of where it is situated would be to walk up to Grand Californian, go thru their lobby to the breezeway that goes in to DCA...you can then cut thru DCA to the entrance plaza and get in to DL that way.

I've stayed there twice (once with a great view of DCA/DL). Just waling up Harbor Blvd works fine. There is also a little side street at the east end of the hotel you can use....but you still have to go over to Harbor to enter. And if you're REALLY tired and cranky at the end of the day, a cab from the Grand Californian or the Harbor entrance of Disneyland is only 5-6 bucks ::yes::

We stay there alot. We just cross the street and walk through the parking lot, take the parking lot trams. :goodvibes

I can't say enough good things about the Anaheim Hilton. While the hotel also caters to the convention traveler, there are many Disney View rooms that you can request upon check-in.

The walk to the park is about 12 minutes at a good pace and 18-20 at a leisurely pace. Go to the lobby level and head towards the convention center. Once outside cross the entrance to the parking ramp and take a right towards the parks. Even if the Timon shuttle isn't working, the gates are open and you can cut directly across the empty parking lot. If you are going in the summer, the Timon lot will be open as they direct Handicapped parking here for the people who enter off Harbor.

If don't get a park view room and are back in the hotel for the fireworks, go outside to the parking ramp (top level) and you have a great view there.

Enjoy!

Thank you everyone. Last year when we stayed at the Hilton we just used the shuttle. It wasn't bad but wanted to see if walking was feasible.

We were on the concierge level last year and loved it.

Next week at this time I will be on my way to DL.

If you happen to stay on the Towers floor again, please tell Jeremy and Antonia in the Executive Level lounge that Diane from Minnesota says hello!
