Has anyone stayed there recently?

We're going to DLR in November, and had planned on staying at the BWPPI but with the 4th night free at the Fairfield Inn I could save about $150.

We stayed here over the past week and it was excellent. Rooms were spotless and well maintained by the cleaning staff. Beds were really comfy and you get a great view of the fireworks at night. We were on the ground floor and didnt hear any outside noise or have any bother from anyone. The pool looked really well kept, there are loads of retaurants around about the hotel and it is literally a 5 minute walk to the parks. We will deff be staying here on our next visit

If you have any specific questions let me know.

We really liked the Fairfield Anaheim. Our only complaint was that we had to wait for 45 minutes for them to have our room ready for check-in. Our beds were super comfy and we loved the very close walk. We commented on that our whole trip. Having McDonalds, Minnie's, IHOP, etc. so close was also a plus. I would definately recommend this hotel!

How long was the walk from the hotel to the front gate? There will be 5 children and my mother (who will rent an ECV for the trip) so my big worry is that it will be too much walking for them.

Don't know why, but I had to click on the large blue lettering, then click back on my browser to show the entire photo. Sorry.

We enjoyed it for a short 2-3 day stay. Typical Fairfield quality clean rooms. Non-Descript (but nice to have) pool. (that has an outdoor change room which came in handy on our departure day).

NO free breakfast like most Fairfields....but McDonalds is in it's parking lot. This worked for us as we would pick up a happy meal or ice cream for my 6 meal a day 8 y/o when walking by. Tip for breakfast - count on a 5-10 min. order line. I would go over first & order for family & when they rolled in 15 min. later the food was waiting.

I'd be curious about the walking distance too. I'd guess 1/2 mile & a 7 minute walk. VERY EASY walk (& no buses to fool with).

have fun :thumbsup2

This is the hotel I stayed in when I visited DL my first time and would definitely recommend it. Clean, comfy and I agree with just about everything above (although when checking in that June I didn't have to wait for my room).

One plus that trip, and I didn't ask for it, was I had a room looking straight at Space Mountain and the monorail. There are plenty of rooms with park views. Maybe when booking you can ask about those.

Have not stayed there for about 4 years, after we discovered Howard Johnson's. It was nice. However, we now prefer HoJos. The walk is truly not bad at all. My son never had a problem with it. Millie's is a great place for breakfast and Mimi's is right next door - closer to HoJos.

I agree with the OP. We just stayed there on July 8 for one night. We came up on the train from San Diego. We got to the hotel about 9:20 am. Our room was not ready, but they held our luggage in the lock room. We walked over, got passes and we in DCA by 9:45 am. When we came back later that night, we got keys, luggage and headed upstairs. We were on the 5th floor, in the back facing HoJo's, but all we did was sleep anyway. The room was clean, the refridgerator a nice plus, and the beds comfortable. They also have a small food court with Pizza Hut menu on the third floor. We ate at Millie's in the parking lot and this was good, homecooked food. All in all, I would stay there again. (I usually try to stay in Marriott properties, since I get airmiles with them.) The walk is less than 10 minutes, although you sometimes wait for the crosswalk light! Have a good trip!
