Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites AWFUL!!

I wonder if it was just that room? We stayed for two nights in a June, two last July and 5 nights the September before. While it was not fancy, it wasn’t anything like you experienced. On our last stay (June) our room had what looked like new carpet - I even mentioned to my family how clean it was. Now I’m worried about our upcoming September, 5 night trip...

The carpet was definitely not new, it had black areas on it especially near the dresser and microwave stand. I didn’t want to walk on it without shoes. I’m not hard to get along with or please, the hotel we stayed at in LA had homeless tents across the street...no biggie, but yucky carpet and a smelly room is a deal breaker.

Sorry to hear this. I stayed for a week last August (2018) on a solo trip, and did not notice anything amiss. Other than my arrival night, I had to use valet parking all the time due to very limited parking spots. But I knew ahead of time that would probably be the case.

It is unfortunate that some of the walking-distance accommodations trade almost exclusively on the convenience factor and pay little attention to what should be routine refurbishment. I hope the balance of your trip worked out better.

I've stayed here my last 4 trips and have always been very happy. In fact just booked our next trip today!!!
