We are hoping to go to California next year how was the driving? Did you find it intimidating? We drive in Orlando every year but have not been to California since I was twelve (1975).

Great report and photos, particularly as I can now relate to the things you saw.

I know exactly what you mean about the tacky characters on Hollywood Boulevard. I couldn't believe how bad they were. Probably worth paying to have your photo taken with one of them just for the laugh.

Well, I don't drive over there as the traffic would come to a complete halt with me having a panic attack in the middle of a 6 lane highway trying to turn left and not knowing which lane to be in!! (Can't get my head round driving on the right!!!!) But DH finds the driving fine. It's a bit hard as you have to concentrate 100% in big cities but he didn't seem to have any problems.
