I am glad you got your passes back. Just very unfortunate you two had to go through this.

But let me get this straight. The holiday quest was redeemed in Dec., clearly the passes should have been sent in December. Was this person actively playing on VMK during your time trying to get the passes? If not, then clearly I can understand that maybe there was a real-life issue going on. But if they were active in the game, there is NO EXCUSE whatsoever for this to occur.

It is a shame that this had to impact our DIS family. We have such a good family here, now we have to watch our backs.

Honestly, I don't think being active or not on VMK during that time counts for anything (besides, who is to say the person wasn't using a mule during this time?). If a person knows what they're supposed to do, it is up to them to do it. If they can't or if something is going on that prevents them from doing something in a timely manner, it is their responsibility to tell someone (that takes all of a minute or two). Waiting until Laura publicly posts about the situation is absolutely ridiculous.

They were/ARE active on both the DIS and VMK, then and now. They NEVER ONCE replied to ANY of our emails since MID DECEMBER. NONE. ZERO. NADA. NOTHING.

BUT oddly enough Today I get a PM from them. And it wasnt a very nice one either

One would think that a little blurb like "sorry it took so long to get these too you" or something like that, would have been included in the PM or with the tickets but nope NOTHING.

It's sad really. They truely can not see that they did anything wrong. Sad.

I'm glad you and Bug made it through all this, but I am highly disappointed to the person who put y'all through all of it. It is good to hear that you at least got your stuff back. Let's hope that nothing like this will ever go down again, especially not here on the Dis.

Even though it isn't truly resolved- in that you didn't get an apology- at least it is to a point where you can now walk away and wash your hands of this person-

This really is sad especially knowing all that Bug has been going through with Slinky- I guess you just can't trust like we'd like to.

Your experience should certainly be and eye opener to all, young and young at heart- that although you may think they are a good friend and you can trust them- that over the internet it really is difficult to get to know someone and that maybe we should all be more cautious with things.

Yes I am glad too you got a response. But how can this person even look at themselves in the mirror. It is bad enough to cause undo pain to an adult. But to hurt a sick kid who was in the fight for his life. I just can not understand that selfishness. Really it is beyond my understanding. And to send a snarky response back just takes the cake. I hope this person never has a gravely ill child. For karma comes back to bite. Though most of us do not know this person you can bet most of us have figured it out.

But you know for every selfish person in the world there are 10 to make a difference. I was so please to see VMK honoring Slink with the CL title. Now that he is feeling better he can do an awesome job. See Karma. Slink fought a tough battle and kept his spirits up. Was treated horribly by another Diser/VMker and karma came back to reward him. See good things come to those who care. Only bad can follow those who do not. Maybe not today but some day.

And for those with truly caring hearts you will always be reward. Because to truly give freely is the best high anyone can ever get.

It might be interesting to hear WHY she NEVER responded to our PM's for months... because they were HERE posting everyday and in VMK for hours everyday..... but you know, to be honest... it's a little too late at this point.

Hmmm.. terrible I'm glad you got everything back eventually, but it never should have come to this. I'm glad you brought the story out so we can all learn from it.

In my past experiences with "internet friends" that turn out to be drama infested crash and burns, they are usually people that are lacking a lot in their "real" lives. Whoever you are, you might want to contact someone professionally to get through some things it seems you need to work out. I'm NOT making light or joking about this, it sounds like some real help might be needed here.

Hugs Bearz and Bug. I've been there (didn't have to do with DIS at all) and my situation ended quite terribly in comparison. Always keep a very close guard up with the internet!

I just wanted to say that we went to WDW in December. When I tried to turn in the quests with all of my family's tickets, the Cast Member wanted each person there as well. She didn't want to give me quest prizes with just tickets. Fortunately, the rest of the family walked in just after she said that and we were able to get our code cards without waiting in line again.

So, sending someone with tickets may not work to get codes, at least depending on Cast Member.

To add insult to injury..... After months of refusing to me PM, they have now, repeatly sent me snide PM's. It's getting old fast. Really.

Mal, how does one block someone from sending you messages? I had hopes for some sort of apoligy, but it seems that isnt coming, as they think they had done NOTHING inapropreate, and I just rather not have to be subject of her games anymore...

Bears, choose UserCP in upper left corner of this page. Right underneath it, will be a list of Options. Choose the very last option "Buddy/Ignore List".

In the Ignore portion of the window that comes up, simply type in the DIS title of whom you want to ignore. They still will be able to send you PMs, but you will never see them in your Inbox. (As you can guess, I had to do it once too )

OMG Laura, that's just horrible!!! I cannot believe that they would try to pull something like this and then start harrassing you via PM. This person needs to grow up. I'm so sorry this person is doing this to you!!!

Gee this is truly a Nightmare!

I can't believe she can't just let it go and has to keep playing games- but it does show you what sort of person she was and although it hurts that you trusted the wrong person- at least you know she clearly is a loser
