An Obsessed Disney Goer's Pre-trip Report - *UPDATED with pics!!*

So....I still havent gotten the last of my OL shopping done but I will this weekend. I really feel as though I am forgetting something IMPORTANT! But I cant think what....

Ok so a couple of off topic's - my sister, who just turned 32, was in for her 2nd craniotomy this last Thurday. She has a malignant brain tumor and had suregry a year and a half ago. They removed as much as they could and treated the rest with an agressive regimen of radiation and chemo. The tumor shrank and all was good but then the chemo stopped working and it began to grow back. This time she was awake for alot of it so they could map out what was safe to remove without risking her motor skills and came within 2 mm of paralyzing her right side. Different treatment options are on the table since she cant have radiation ever again and as soon as she has her next MRI we will know more. But she is home and resting and recuperating.

Then last friday night I lost my diamond ring. *gulp* Let's just say after a gut-wrenching process of tearing absolutely everything in our room apart, DF found it....in his sock drawer. *shakes head*

But as we were going through the room like the troops through Austria, he came across one of the bags of OL things and opened it up. They, in all their glory, were our glo-stix!

"Why do we need these" was the very terse question brought on by stress...

it was hardly the time to smile my best disney smile and say "to make all the little princes and princesses shriek with glee during long lines and parade time"...

but that is exactly what I said.

His reply was more this:

Hey sweet girl! Im still here, just been a Disney Deadbeat for the last few days. We've had a busy weekend - apparently 10-10-10 was a HUGE deal to brides and over 40 thousand people got married in MA alone last weekend. Needless to say - I was out straight shooting 3 weddings last weekend, and have been editing in the studio to keep up... however, Ive got today and tomorrow OFF for a break for some Disney magic and relaxing. Im going to update my PTR right after I post this to you!

Im excited to see what new pins you receive. Ill send you a private message to get the details on who you bought from on ebay, and send you some of my facebook and contact info for our trips that will JUST be missing each other. I havent forgotten about our secret note!

Im SO sorry to hear you went into panic mode over a lost diamond. I cant imagine that, and thankfully haven't had to experience it yet... however, im really thankful you found it. Who knows, you may have ended up picking a pearl to wear as an engagement ring for awhile!!

ok so first let me say that for some reason today it hit me and I am literally bouncing in my chair!!

11 days...11 hours...and 30 minutes

thats what I have left before getting on that plane to my happy place with just my Prince Charming...for 6 days...alone. well, us and about 50,000 others...

I have finally finished my OL shopping!!

Maybe I should rephrase that: I have finally STOPPED my OL shopping.

When we went to Target to grab the last of it, we also grabbed a smaller Brita so we can have good water in the villa without ordering the cases from the grocery service, and some cards for the balcony at night. We even got UNO! I want to get a bottle of Hennessey and some red bull *blech* for him and some red wine for me so maybe we will be ordering some things from GG - its awesome they do alcohol. The wine wont last for sure but the Hennessey and if we get Rum we can keep it in our OL. I already got the most impportant kitchen things like filters and coffee for the morning. I am going to LOVE getting up at the crack of dawn and having coffee on the balcony in our new bathrobes!!

I am sure we have everything we need and then some until the next trip when I hope to have tall the kids with us. I even bought the bleach for the villa jacuzzi!! I know mouskeeping is wonderful but....

I am now thinking that it would be beneficial to put it all into a large suitcase and just check it since we wont be checking any other bags. ME can pick it up and deliver it per usual and I wont have to pack it, tape it and drag it to the Post Office...and it will save about $30!

More Dole Whips for US!!!

I am now super excited that if the weather is as nice as it is supposed to be *fingers crossed* I am SO going to grab a drink (or 3) from the outside bar and enjoy the pool!! Oooo and midnight swims are nice too! ;

I cant believe that I am already having the jumpies...its going to be a looooong week and a half if I dont contain myself!

I am off to Garden Grocer to order a few things.... ciao for now!

So I broke down and bought this for my trip!

I have less than 60 hours before I leave!!

I cannot believe its so close!! I am packed already, with the exception of a few last minute things. I did NOT ship my OL things down...I got the bright idea to use one of my checked bags so I could save some time and money. In retrospect, I made things more difficult for myself since I cant seem to get it to weigh less than 50 lbs, so we each may have to take a carry on and and split the OL things up into 2 suitcases which is totally doable but still a pain.

I have just gotten the bright idea to call OLW and see how much it would be to have them deliver some chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne to our villa from Mickey! Any ideas how to go about that?

Sorry I haven't been over lately, just caught up! Your plans look great!!! I can't believe how close your trip is now!!!! You must be on cloud 9! Love all the personalized stuff you picked up and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your DB bag!!!!!!!!!! I was eyeing that up when we were there, but after Todd gave me that ring, how could I ask for that?! Good thing I can order them online!!

I hope you're packing and getting everything ready!!! can't wait to hear more!!

Isnt it funny how you, me and Jessica are all in the same area? Hmmm...I may feel a Disney coffee clutch coming on! (do they even say that anymore?? I got that from my grandmother! heehee)

Wow - alot of things have happened in just these last few days!

~ I have had a bad cold and gotten over it (phew)

~ DBF has had a terrible toothache and after 2 sleepless nights and miserable days just had his tooth pulled this afternoon

~ My mom - who is staying home with my Prince Connor, 17 had been feeling badly for a couple of days with a recurring gall stone in her bile duct. She has an appt the week we get back so please send prayers she doesnt have an attack while we are gone

~ one of my very best friends in Maine has to bury her dad tomorrow. He died earlier this week and of course, I am going to the service. I will have to drive 3 hours each way and will only have enough time to stay for 2 hours but its important to me that I at least make an appearance for her.

I am all packed and ready to go - I even know what I am wearing to the airport! I do have a couple of things last minute to put into my carry on but the OL things are separated into 2 checkable bags and we will each have one carry on. For the trip back home, will put the one checkable bag inside the other and still have room to pack the souveniers we are going to buy!

I am hoping to touch base before I take off in a cab at 4:00 am on Sunday -

Hi Heather! I was just reading my old TR and saw your link in your signature! Your trip is getting so close or wait..it's now? Or just ended? !!! We have another trip planned that starts in 67 days! It's going to be just the two of us..no kids! Your countdown calendar looks great. Don't worry about Ebay pins. We buy tons of them from there and my kids have never had a problem trading them! They are getting a bunch for xmas since we are taking them next summer!
