Hi Laura, I'm Kim...at least I think that's my name...I get called so many things around here, sometimes I'm not sure who I am. You're not alone... I remember when I first ventured over to the CB from the planning boards. I felt like I was crashing a family reunion or something! Everyone seemed to know each other so well and I felt SO out of the loop. I couldn't figure out how all these people seemed to know each other on such a personal level when they were scattered all over the country. LOL! Getting to know the names, etc... just seems to be one of those things that happens gradually. I guess I could put my name in my signature... I'd never really given it any thought until now.

My real name is Ann. When I signed up it was my first experience on the internet. I was a big chicken to use anything that might let someone know who I really was. Of course now its not a problem. Snuggles, my dog, was sitting next to me so I figured I'd use his name. Many of us have met each other and I think that explains using real names.

Although I know alot of people's real names. along with the names of their family members in some cases, I never use them unless they actually have part of their name in their user name or in their signature. I might use their real names if speaking to them directly, or in a PM, but never in a post. I feel that they might not like me to reveal their real name, so I just don't do it.

BTW, you can call me Snoopy. I've gotten rather used to it and actually prefer it over my real name.
