Have you checked out my previous Jiko reviews?
But I will try to get the Jiko review done soon and PM it to you. Which shouldn't prevent us from talking about it in August as well!![]()
I just did today. Not sure that I'd get the sturgeon- I can get that any time in the Pacific Northwest since they breed in the Columbia River.
I think if I had to pick my meal right this moment, I'd get the mussels appie, then see if LeeAnn would split the curry shrimp. Can't decide between the brulee and the cheese platter for dessert.

But I can tell you one thing I AM definitely getting... that dessert martini! WOW!
Scrooge McDuck is very popular here in Germany. He is called Dagobert Duck here (also Uncle Dagobert). The most popular Disney product here in Germany are pocket books filled with comics. And he is an important character in those. The books are called "Walt Disney's Lustige Taschenbücher" which means "Walt Disney's Funny Pocket Books". And this is what German kids used to grow up with. There are many characters, which are very popular here, which aren't known that well in the US like "Gyro Gearloose" called Daniel Düsentrieb hier in Germany. He is the crazy inventor.
Who knew?!

Keeping receipts is really helpful! All my dining reviews relied heavily on them and they are also helpful for the TR in order to figure out when did we buy what...![]()
I think there are others who've learned that lesson- one who's likely to have the last laugh in it.

Oh and I hope that your visa situation can be settled soon!!![]()
Still no word. They said Monday- so we'll see. I hate to show up at a graduation ceremony having not slept for 20 hours!

Indeed, we've had all kinds of MAJOR drama today. We went over to DHL to ship our 7 boxes, and had a massive misunderstanding. When we called 3 weeks ago, she gave us a quote, but that ended up being for 1 BOX!
$600 for 1 BOX!!!!

Then I had a brainstorm. There are many families leaving permanently this year from the big city. So I called one up to see how they were getting their stuff back to the US, they have some info. on a shipping co. She said that for like $10 a kilo we can ship stuff. If we have 200 kilo, that's only around $2,000. Not as much as DHL, and certainly less frightening than the local Post. We'll get more info. tonight when we call this family back and get more details. But we are definitely more hopeful than we were say, 3 hours ago. Cross your fingers for us!
Love the journal
So, I have to ask....are those actual phone call expenses?![]()
Hi!! I hope all the hard work pays off on them.

No, just a note to myself that that's how the payment was made- That would be quite some bill!
