100 days from now, WOW!!! so exciting.
yeah it is pretty cool, what is the hairy beasts name? chuck?
never had teh grey goose drink, but alot of people talk about, might have to try it this trip.
Wow, the quilt is spectacular! I really love craftwork from different cultures. I think that this is one of the really interesting aspects of foreign countries - how crafts are used in a way to make life more beautiful. I guess quilts are for me the typical American form of craftwork. And yours is really beautiful, there must be so much work you put into it!
The visa situation is such a annoying story!I will pray for there being a solution that you won't have to miss Andrew's graduation!!
I am impressed with the boxes in your house, I guess that is part of your packing/clearing stuff out process? I hope you will be able to get through these stressful times without further complications.
Thanks for your lovely PM, will send an answer soon!![]()
Marc went to Hoop De Doo as a child and he said it awesome. I have no desire to go to it yet. I don't know, the food does nothing for me.
Ahhh, POR.We'll officially be neighbors!

Definitely a hilarious, outrageously silly show, and we'll I'm particularly partial to the strawberry shortcake.(And I can say that I don't dislike the bottomless sangria either. eh-hmm...)
Yup! We're requesting the Magnolia Mansions. How 'bout you?
You know, when I called to add the two days I asked them to put a Mansion room request on my reservation. When I got the email confirmation with the two extra days there was no mention of it so I have to call them again.
Are you requesting a specific Mansion building? I'm debating if I should request a specific building or just any Mansion room.
We requested Magnolia Terrace Bldg. A corner room.
I'm going to call again next week as well, just to make sure!
I think quilting is very much a traditional American craft, and the Amish, I think, are most known for it. However, there are SO many different styles ranging from batiks to watercolors (quilts with a picture of some sort), to Hawiian "pineapple" style. I think this particular quilt took me about 300 hours or so to complete (1 year of work).
My house is basically trashed. There are boxes everywhere, and I think for the next 2 months, we'll be eating off of plastic dishes. Ah well.... I sold my piano for $80 today, which is $10 more than I thought I'd get. Did you hear me???? Pianos sell for $80 here!!!!![]()
I think that is the building I want to be in too. I'm going to be really really upset if I don't get a Mansion room. I wish I could just pay to make sure I get one. Sigh.
I once went to a quilt exhibition which was absoutely beautiful - I have no idea where it was, but it was about what the different designs mean and such. I think it was quilts which were on loan from the Smithsonian (is that possible??) - which btw sounds like the most interesting museum to me!
for boxes everywhere, plastic dishes and piano prices! I guess there isn't a strong demand for pianos?

Graduation starts at 5:00 on the 10th- it is 2 days drive there. Could you pray that we get our visas AND passports before this, so we don't have to worry and stress about missing our firstborn's highschool graduation??
First of all, sending big prayers your way. Secondly - I meant to ask last time - are you staying in a Yurt on your vacation? You posted that pic of your view so I wondered!
Hope you're having a memorable Memorial Day!
Hey, nice way to work in "peurile" and your worked in "antebellum" for good measure!
We love quilt shows. There used to be an annual one in Lancaster and we used to go. The quilts are like works of art.
Oh, so now I see your journal for trip notes...nice! Sorry to rush you on this.
