Looking for a little input...

I'd like to find a TS rest. for the first night of our stay at the WL. Maybe you all can help me here. Here's what I'm looking for:

1. Something close to the WL as it will be the evening of our travel day with two litle ones under 3. They'll be tired I'm sure so we'll need something close to 'home base', an easy commute.

2. Not Whispering Canyon....looks fun and is a good location, but DH and I have already decided that it would be too much for the kids. Besides, we don't want to give our almost 3-year-old the idea that it's OK to yell, whoop, dance around the tables, etc. while dining at Disney. :) She's very impressionable and I'm afraid we'd potentially be setting ourselves up for a week of adventurous dining with her. ;)

3. Other close-by TS ADRs we already have for the week include 1900 Park Fare (charac. dinner), and Kona Cafe.

What do you experts think? Should we just stick with CS (Roaring Fork) that night for ease (and speed)? How about the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness? Opinions?

Thanks for your help!

Depending on what time you'll arrive at your resort, I'd recommend Roaring Forks for a quick and easy dinner. If it's still early, you could always head over to Fort Wilderness for sing-a-long, making smores around the fire and a movie. We took my nephews to this and they had a blast.

If you want a table service, then I would recommend either O'Hana's at the Polynesian or the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary.

Have dined at Chef Mickey's for dinner and was quite disappointed with the food and the service.
:sad2:

How about the Concourse Steakhouse or Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary?

Thanks guys,

I have an ADR for the Concourse Steakhouse for 5:50 - a little later than I would prefer for the little ones that night, but they only start serving dinner at 5:30. I don't know - we may just stick to Roaring Fork since I really don't know what condition the kiddos will be in. Maybe CS in our hotel would be best - if worse comes to worse and they are too pooped to eat we can even pack it up and take the food back to the room. Yeah, this may be the way to go. NOthing like answering your own post

Our family enjoyed Roaring Forks so much last fall that we ate their twice during our stay. It had excellent chicken strips and sandwiches. They make each order fresh, so you may have to wait a few minutes, but it comes out hot! I vote for that after a long day of travelling esp. with the kiddies.

How about the Kona at the Poly. You could go watch Wishes after from the beach then hop back over to the WL. :)

what about the GF cafe? its a fav or mine. its very underrated and I dont know why, so therefore it has never been extremly "busy" at least when I have gone. I find it very relaxing. good food too! :)

Depending on the time you get there you might want to check out downtown as they have plenty of places to eat. With a family Rainforest is a fun option!
