An almost road rage incident

My sister was driving me home today and she needed to change lanes. She signaled and started moving over and the guy behind sped up. Well she beeped at the guy, changed lanes and made a not so nice gesture. Our turn off came and the guy goes to the turning lane too. I tell her to make a U turn and I take out my cell and type in 911. I hear so many crazy stories lately I was really scared. She turns and luckily he kept going but gave a real dirty look. I yelled at my sister and asked her if she listens to the news at all. I really hope she learns from this and does not get annoyed when other drivers are not so nice. Big deal I told her, you just change lanes another second.

I'm glad no one was hurt. People seem to lose their minds when they get behind the wheel.

Just yesturday I was coming home and a car pulled out right in front of me. There was no way I could have avoided hitting them and I swerved into the oncoming traffic lane (fortunatly there was no one coming). As I tried to get around the car that had pulled out he sped up. So I sped up trying to get back on the right side of the road. He continued to match my speed so I slowed down so I could pull back into the lane behind him and he slowed down to. He wouldn't let me back over, and was laughing and waving at me. Mind you, I am in the wrong lane this whole time and we were doing between 40 and 70 mph. I could see a car coming and I had no where to go so I slammed on the brakes and the guy didn't slow down fast enough so I was able to get back into the correct lane. Scared me half to death. He pulled out in front of me, why was he mad at me, I was just trying not to get anyone killed.

I read once that people feel anonymous in their cars. So it gives them a feeling of freedom, a sense that there will be no consequences and they can just let out their anger or frustration. Too bad they forget how bad the consequences can be....
