An advantage buying e-tickets?

Somewhere I heard, or thought I heard, that if you buy your tickets through disney.com and get e-tickets, and then you happen to lose your tickets while at the park they can just look up your purchase and reissue a ticket for you. 1)Is that true? I'm trying to decide where to buy and that seems like an advantage to me if it's true.

I have a couple other questions too..
2)If I drive to DL and pay for parking, then leave and come back the same day, do I have to pay for parking again or is the parking ticket good for the whole day?

3)We are going the first week in Feb. I am planning on dressing my kids in Jeans, long sleeve shirts, and short sleeve on top. Should I be thinking sweatshirts? We are coming form Utah with a high of 22 today. We are trying to match together by wearing the same color t-shirts, I just don't want them to be too cold.

Thanks so much for any suggestions.:wizard:

I don't know about the e-ticket advantage about losing tickets, but I've definitely heard that if you make copies of the back of your tickets (there's some sort of number on them) they might be able to help you. Perhaps since they issued them to you that day, they would have the number?

I think you have in/out privileges with parking. You will need to keep your parking receipt/ticket thing, to show when you come back. I don't know how familiar you are with DLR, but just in case, you might want to look for HydroGuy's tips (in a "sticky" thread towards the top of this forum) and look at his hotel rules...driving in tends to take time from being at the parks, so you might want to check it out.

Clothing...I don't know what the day vs night weather in Utah is like, but I've noticed that in Anaheim the difference is pretty big. So when the sun goes down and the temp drops, the difference can make a person colder than they expect. Some of us from the northwest have been discussing that recently.

You will probably need to bring coats b/c of where you're coming from, but don't be surprised if you all get the urge to leave the heavy coats in the hotel and buy cute new Disney sweatshirts instead! :)

Yup buying an e-ticket is a lot easier and time saving.
I prefer that too.........
Sorry, no information about the weather type there.
May be some of our other friends might be of help.
Hey, go through the online websites and check out for various options available.
The fantasy land welcomes you with all the disney attractions and entertainment.

1) The one big advantage I see about e-ticket is skipping the ticket lines for a 1 day, 1 park ticket or 1 day park hopper. ONLY. If you plan on getting a different ticket, I'd recommend buying them somewhere else.

2) Your parking ticket is good all day with come and go priviledges

3) I'm thinking you are not going to need sweatshirts. Coming from Utah which is FREEZING, to California will be very different. You may want to bring them just in case and use a locker at the parks.

I cant stand it I have to ask....

Is an e-ticket a regular park ticket? Whats the e stand for?

e = electronic as in (e-commerce, e-bay, etc.)

An e-ticket is just a hopper you print out from the disneyland website. You get a printed pass that you take to the turnstiles, where they will replace it with a hard paper ticket that is FP compatable.

Yesterday at the Tiki Room I met a family from Utah. The weather had cooled down quite a bit, and I was chilly (from western WA), and there was rain looming. The mom was in short sleeved shirt and pants, the 5 year old and two 3 year olds were in shorts and short sleeves and were not turning blue, and the littlest one was in a fleece footie pajama outfit, but her mom said the only reason she had that outfit on was b/c mom got tired of putting the kid's socks back on all day yesterday. They all seemed totally fine even though the weather had cooled significantly from the earlier part of the day yesterday.

I bet you'll be fine. :)

I bought an e-ticket (just one adult 2-day pass, so no real discounts available elsewhere) just the other day. I used my Disney Visa and got a surprise -- page 2 of my printout had a coupon for 10% off a $50 purchase (a standard offer with the Disney Visa anyway) or -- get this -- 20% off a $100 purchase. The bummer is that the coupon expires on 1/31 and I go on 2/8. DRAT! But anyway, depending on whatever variables Disney uses, you may get a bonus merchandise coupon by purchasing an e-ticket. Good luck!

Get the e-ticket. I was going to but decided against it because I didn't want to lose it (we were cruising beforeahand). We waited about 30 minutes in line to get tickets. That was the slowest moving line we stood in too. :rotfl:

About the weather, it's just going to depend. We live in St. Louis and it was in the 20s when we left too. It was about 65 in LA and we were quite comfortable in jeans and long sleeved t-shirts. Untill about 3pm when the sun started going down. It got COLD fast after that. We went back to our room to get coats. This was early January.
