I was wondering if you had time to make an invitation for me? My daughter is having a "carnival" themed birthday party. Her name is Olivia and she will be 9 years old. The date is Oct. 5 and time is 1:00p.

I was just wondering what went in the fun books and planning books? Did you disign pages for them too or was it just other stuff accumulated?

Also, how did you learn to use your photoshop. I got it for my birthday in April and I am clueless how to use it. Is there a good how to book that you recommed or did you take a class? Just wondering. I would love to be able to design too.

I did not design the inside pages. At the time, there were other dis'ers who had found tons of activity pages online, in books, etc.. and were sharing them in a thread. I think the thread title was something like "activity books". (link in #231 - a couple of posts down)

I use Photoshop Elements - not the regular Photoshop. I have heard that regular Photoshop has a lot more capabilities and lots more to learn (as well as it being more expensive).

I learned really just by playing around with it. I will be totally honest in telling you that in the beginning, I just wanted to put my fist through the screen on numerous occasions but I just kept playing with it. It was always so rewarding for me to know that I figured something out!

Sometimes you can also find tutorials online that help you learn a specific thing. For this, I would just google "Photoshop Elements tutorial" and then whatever I was looking for.

I just clicked on different buttons in the program and saw what they would do and experimented. There is still so much that I do not know but have not made the time to learn.

I would encourage you to play around with yours. It is fun and very addicting - so only do it if you want your life to be all about designing! ha ha

But play around with it and if you get really stuck, I would be happy to try and help. But you will find it will feel so much more rewarding if you learn it yourself!

I'm trying to figure it out too. My Hubby bought it for me for an early B-day gift and I have spent way too many hours trying to figure out how to make the names with the pictures inside them like you have in your signature. any tips?

OH NO! Amy I just came upon this thread. Do you mind me asking why you can't do Disney any longer? SOOO sad. These are all so awsome! I'm going to try to use some of the Non Personalized ones I found! You're so talented!

Amy - MANY thanks for all you have done and continue to do for us! I am a newbie and would have missed out on several of your great designs if you had not started this thread. Thanks for everyone sharing Amy's stuff.

I am sure this has already been covered but since I did not see it might I ask what is the differnce in your creating and another designer on this board? No one here is making any money and there are tons of folks on E-Bay selling Disney items Why don't they go after folks like that?? I just want you to know you are very talented and it is such a shame this has happened. I just do not understand corporate america sometimes!

Yes, this was just a reminder for me. I forget what page I left off on and then I have to go thru it all again... Silly me I know... But yeah, there are some nice designs here don't you think so? I worked my way backwards. So now I only have 6 more pages to go... Silly me I know...
If you have any more and would like to share, please show some more designs. I know your not taking new requests but some old stuff is ok to look at too...

I am so sad, but you are not the first this has happened to. The little bakery in my small town MS was sent a ceast and desist letter because they had a decorater who could do awesome cakes free hand. Now all they can do is the edible images. This was about 15 years ago also.
Somehow I don't think Walt would mind.
I love your stuff and have saved several to use. Thank you for taking the time to do this and I love your other stuff also.

I was contacted by a Disney represented lawyer via my webpage. Needless to say, I am no longer doing Disney designs.

I was not contacted via the boards. I believe that they are cracking down on internet infringement, and having the word Mickey in my web address probably didn't help.

I am not able to post any of my old Disney designs. All of the designs here in this thread were posted by the nice people willing to share on the boards. I so wish I could post what I have for others to use, but it is just not possible.
