Hi All!

A quick update, since there's "news." Amy and I had, as usual, a fun weekend followed by a really lousy Sunday as we parted for the week. The stress is wearing on Amy, and it's starting to show. However, she always manages to stiffen up her lip and move on. And we're entering the final phase. You'll notice the old countdown is about two weeks. We have an amnio scheduled for Monday August 25 at 8 AM. That will be followed by some nail biting, and hopefully a phone call at about 6 PM to tell us we have healthy lungs. If that's the fact, we'll be in the delivery room early on Tuesday the 26th. Knock on wood.

The best news in a while came last Friday, when Amy's sonogram marked Kimberly at 5 pounds 13oz, prompting Amy to begin calling Kimberly "a mastodon." That figure is, of course, an estimate and can be off up to 15oz. But even on the "low end" of the scale, it's apparent Kimberly will be well over 5 pounds in two weeks, meaning beyond the lungs, we no longer have to fidget over developmental issues. All vitals on Amy and Kimberly are stable and in "normal" range.

We had a great weekend, mostly eating and drinking (a post-natal diet is in order for mom AND dad), and had a wonderful time at Knoebels Grove, where we swam (Dr. Approved) for about four hours. We had nachos and chicken wings Saturday night at a wonderful Bloomsburg gem called "Scoreboard," one of those nice places tucked away in the middle of nowhere that looks seedy but has Jaguars parked out front. Great wings, great beer, and I even played pool left-handed to give Amy a fighting chance. Alas, even with the bridge she can't get that close to the table.

On a solemn note, we took time to think of Katholyn and her family, and we wish them well.

This coming weekend my parents are spending the day Saturday, which should be fun, and the following weekend Amy's parents come to Danville for the duration. The best part is they check into a Hampton Inn with indoor pool at noon on Sunday. At that point, Amy will be sprung from the nursing home and will be surrounded by luxury and family until we get to the OR on Tuesday. I hope to get a message out next week (we'll be doing the greatest single-digit dance ever on Sunday). Thanks for your continued interest. Amy actually submitted to a photo in semi-profile. Having spent her entire life at 5' even, 115#, she's finding this condition an eye-opener. Personally, I think she looks great. Don't you?

Thanks for the update Pat! And yes, I do think that Amy looks great! That tummy will be gone in no time, and you'll have little Kimberly in your arms....it will all be worth it. Continued blessings to you and your family, and I hope you get some real food soon!
Keep us posted, and I can't wait to see that picture of little Kimberly!

Pat ~ Continued prayers and best wishes. Thank you so much for keeping us updated...sounds like you had a good weekend. Can't wait to see Kimberly and we will be keeping our fingers crossed on the 25th. God Bless!

Thanks for the update, Pat. Amy looks great!!

Great news and Amy looks great too!!

Crossed fingers for the 25th and the 26th. My desk is wood so I'll knock on that too. Just waiting for the first pics of Kimberly.

Thanks, Pat! Continued good wishes for smooth sailing...:D

And Amy looks fabulous...:D

Pat, I love these updates!!!! Especially when they have good news and I can't believe how close you are now!

Amy, you look wonderful!!!! The time will come soon enough to be carrying little Kimberly in your arms instead of inside and you will have cherished both of these. :)

God bless you all, keeping you in my prayers and hang in there, the end is in sight!!!

Hugs!
Cathy

Thanks for the update, Pat! Amy looks great! I can't believe how close it is now until you get to see your little daughter! And to relieve your fears a bit, I was a little over 2 weeks premature, and I weight 4 pounds 14 ounces at birth. I have no problems at all (well, unless you count a severe Disney World obsession, lol!), and it sounds like little Kimberly will be a bigger bundle of joy when she makes her grand entrance. I'm sure she'll be fine!

I think it all sounds great EXCEPT the birth date. You need to tell Amy told hold off one more day and make it the 27th. My daughter's birthday is the 27th and it is a great day to be born! My daughter was nearly 1 month overdue (complete opposite of your situation) and she was about to be evicted on the 27th. I went in to the doctor for an examination before being given an induction time. Moira decided to come on her own that day instead! Funny, but her life has followed along the same lines...procrastinator until the foot is about to be put down then she scrambles to do it on her own! ;) hahaha

All joking aside, whatever day Kimberly comes will be a wonderful one! :) :)

Pat, Amy looks BEAUTIFUL and she looks to be the picture of health! Your update has me grinning ear-to-ear. In fact, it's the bright spot of my day so far!!!!!!

Continued prayers on their way....

Glad to hear you are all doing so well. It will be here before you know it and you can put this all in the past. Continued thoughts and prayers.
Kim

Pat-

Amy looks awesome! I always look forward to your updates and am glad to hear the good news continues. We will be in WDW when Kimberly makes her grand entrance, and I have been trying to decide if we want to take a computer with us. Now we will have to so I can check the DIS for Kimberly's birth announcement and pictures!

Getting so close!! I continue to keep y'all in my prayers, and thanks for the updates Pat. :) I'm getting so excited for y'all! And tell Amy, she looks *fantastic*!!

Thanks for the update Pat. You have brightened up an otherwise dreary day :D I think that Amy looks awesome!!

My FIL's birthday is the 25th and DH's birthday is the 26th, so those are good dates. I am looking forward to seeing a family photo. of the 3 of you.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and will be thinking of you on the 25th and 26th.

Hi Pat and Amy! Thanks for the wonderful update! Two weeks will fly by I'm sure!

Amy you look great! Thanks for sharing that picture!

Continued prayers for you all!!

I think Amy looks great, too, Pat. There's nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman. :)

I love reading your updates. It's getting close now!

Pat, thanks for the continued updates. I feel so privileged to be able to share the excitement and add my prayers to all those being sent skyward for Amy, Kimberly and you!

Amy looks spectacular and the good news is wonderful! Hope you have the camera ready to take those "welcome to the world" pictures of Kimberly!

Yay Pat! I was hoping to get some more good news from you guys before I left! Only two weeks left, that is so exciting! Amy looks great. I'm thrilled to hear that the three of you continue to do so well. Here's hoping that time flies for you!

Melissa

I was away for more than a week and this update was the first thing I looked for today!

I agree that Amy looks great.....healthy and happy.

Yahoooooo!! Great news Pat! Glad to hear that things continue to go well and things are looking up a little more each day. Amy looks absolutely wonderful! How exciting that you only have 2 more weeks to go. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all for good amnio results so your little Kimberly can be born on the 26th. Thanks for keeping us updated. Can't wait to see a picuture of Kimberly!
