Hi Everyone!

Let me say I never even knew the community board was here. I'm becoming a big fan. I hope, down the line, to help some people in need the way I've been helped.

Today's update is a good one. We got back the biopsy on Amy's polyp. The good news, oh so good, is no cancer. The bad news is that they didn't get it all, and we can probably expect to have this whole situation reoccur if the polyp regenerates. But at least we'll go in with our eyes open.

The other good news is that in only three days, we'll be in week 26. We're learning to take small steps.

Unfortunately, today has hanging over it the fact that if all had gone well, I'd be in midair on my way to join Amy. Saturday we had a PS at Hoop Dee Doo. So to celebrate our entry into week 26, on Saturday I'm making fried chicken, ribs, corn, salad, and cole slaw. And we'll have "western" night (I think I'll rent "Blazing Saddles," which should be slightly HDD-like).

I can't write an update without continuing to express my undying gratitude to those who have and continue to write support and send things to the house. Amy's already begun receiving stuff from you folks. She's particularly interested who this Flower Fairy is! Amy's composing a letter to you all and Pete to thank you for not only supporting her, but supporting me. That's the type of gal I married. She's spending more time worrying about my lack of sleep than her own situation.

That's it for now. I'll let you know what I know when I know it.

All my best,

Pat

So glad to hear the great news. Proof that prayers do work.

No cancer, Yay! That is fabulous news, Pat!

I love, love, love your western theme idea! How clever is that? Thats what I call fun! :)

Blessings to you and your family, Pat.

Pat, you are just the best husband. God bless you all. Still saying a daily prayer for you all.

Hope you don't mind, but I will put a date in your update so folks know when you have a new one. Daily ones are great! :) Just teasing, as often as you have time for!
Take good care!
CC

Pat I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. I have to tell you how amazed I am at the way you and your wife is handling this. Keep the faith and keep us posted.

that's wonderful news pat!!! please know that you are in my thoughts...

i love your idea for theme night!! you know, there are websites out there (even some on our own boards here!) with recipes from the disney restaurants...maybe you could check out some of those and hopefully find some favorites to make! that would continue (sort of) with the theme meals to get you through this...

hang in there...keep us posted...and welcome to the CB!

Great Great GREAT NEWS!!!
You all continue to be in my prayers. Thanks for the updates! I know the pangs of missing a Disney trip hurt....but just set your sights on going the next time with Kimberly Jane!!! Hang in their Pat.....my best to your DW.

Pat.....I've been reading your updates religiously and thinking of you and your family often.

I would like to say you have already helped me. You've reminded me that no matter how tough things get (for me right now they are pretty tough) be thankful for what you have. I've been reminded that life can throw you a pretty good curve ball when you least expect it, so live and love today.

After reading your posts I hold on to my son just a little tighter and remember to tell him and my dh "I love You".

So thank you.........for sharing your difficult times with us and reminding us all to always look for the positive and to not let a moment go by without telling your loved ones how important they are.

I can't wait to read the trip report from your daughters 1st trip to visit the mouse!

I just finished reading your report on the other board. My thoughts and prayers are with Amy and your little one. My own DD was born at 33 weeks due to a problem with the placenta and is now 17 years old! Keep the faith!

Amy is blessed to have you for her husband. It takes a special kind of guy to come up with the "western night" idea.

Great news, Pat!

You have helped me also in a strange way...
DS16 and I were in search of football cleats which he needs NOW. They are not readily available at this time of year, especially not in a size 13. When his attitude became unbearable, I told him to get a REAL problem and gave him the highlights of your story. He saw the light and agreed!

I will keep praying....

I feel your relief! The Anniversary dinner sounds just WONDERFUL! Have fun and find a smile every day...:D

Wonderful update, Pat. Please continue to keep us updated.

And I agree, the DIS folks are pretty darn special!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Pat I saw your update yesterday and went to find your first posts on the other board. You, Amy and baby are in our prayers as well. The DIS is a powerful place!

Great news on the test results. Thats just one more thing that you don't have to think about. Tell Amy to hang in there and be strong. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Great Great Great News, that there is no Cancer. NO Cancer is ALWAYS a good thing!

Pat, you sound like you and Amy are both in pretty good spirits. I gotta tell you, a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) can be AS important as anything else.

I love the idea of your HDD night. Blazing Saddles will be about as close as you can get to the same level of humor.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, and keep the faith, you guys are doing great!
