Hi Everyone!
Let me say I never even knew the community board was here. I'm becoming a big fan. I hope, down the line, to help some people in need the way I've been helped.
Today's update is a good one. We got back the biopsy on Amy's polyp. The good news, oh so good, is no cancer. The bad news is that they didn't get it all, and we can probably expect to have this whole situation reoccur if the polyp regenerates. But at least we'll go in with our eyes open.
The other good news is that in only three days, we'll be in week 26. We're learning to take small steps.
Unfortunately, today has hanging over it the fact that if all had gone well, I'd be in midair on my way to join Amy. Saturday we had a PS at Hoop Dee Doo. So to celebrate our entry into week 26, on Saturday I'm making fried chicken, ribs, corn, salad, and cole slaw. And we'll have "western" night (I think I'll rent "Blazing Saddles," which should be slightly HDD-like).
I can't write an update without continuing to express my undying gratitude to those who have and continue to write support and send things to the house. Amy's already begun receiving stuff from you folks. She's particularly interested who this Flower Fairy is! Amy's composing a letter to you all and Pete to thank you for not only supporting her, but supporting me. That's the type of gal I married. She's spending more time worrying about my lack of sleep than her own situation.
That's it for now. I'll let you know what I know when I know it.
All my best,
Pat
