Chelle=Me, 32 years old and a Disneyaholic
Amy=My partner, 27 years old and a "spoiled as a little girl-went to WDW every other year since she was 8" Disneyaholic
We were at Disney in February and have a big family trip planned for October. We bought Annual passes because we were going to be at Disney 15 days this year and, of course, we were hoping for some great resort discounts. Long story short, Amy's employer scheduled her to work for two weekends in a row; therefore, she was allowed a four day weekend at the end of the month. All of sudden we had 4 whole free days...what should we do? We discussed maybe heading up to Wisconsin for a couple of days or maybe a local amusement park. Well, I had other plans!
I called Disney and Surprise they actually had an annual pass rate left for our dates at the Pop Century. $197.00 with tax for 3 nights! Amy got home from work that evening to the Disney ambush. I had our last vacation video tape in the VCR ready to go and I was scrapbooking our photos from our last trip; not to mention a fabulous dinner waiting, too! She had nowhere to run. I pleaded my case. How could we justify a third Disney trip in one year? I pleaded some more. I promised no purchases other than food, yada..yada...yada! Finally, she caved! Okay...it really wasn't that hard of a fight, but I was very prepared.
I found airfare through ATA: 2 roundtrip tickets for $350.40 including tax and fees. We would arrive Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. and we would depart Tuesday evening at 7:02 p.m. Not bad! The best part was we only had two weeks to wait for the trip.
