Animal Kingdom Villas offer 3 different Catagories.

Value
Standard
Savannah

Savannah I get, that offers the best view.
But what's the difference between Value and Standard?

Thanks

actually, it's 4 categories including concierge (which costs more pts and may have lesser views).

value rooms are smaller and more cramped. OTOH, you may still get a view of the savannah (or you may get a view of the pool or parking lot). the difference is the room size.

standard is a pool view room, IIRC...with a standard size room.

Also, Concierge and Value rooms only exist in Jambo House. Standard View rooms in Kidani Village will have either pool, parking lot or garden views.

The value category was created because during the conversion of the 5th & 6th floor AKL rooms into AKV units they had several rooms that once converted would be of slighly smaller size or shape than the planned standard AKV units due to the building layout.

Questions:
How much smaller are we talking?
vs. a Standard room?

And what is OTOH? and IIRC?

And what kind of view do you get?

Value studio is about 315 sq ft (close to the size of a Port Orleans room), other studios are about 365; value 1BR is about 620 sq ft; others at Jambo 712 and at Kidani they will be about 810. The differences are significant. Value (all at the front of the Jambo building) can be pool, parking lot or savanna view.

OTOH (on the other hand), and IIRC (if I remember correctly) are computer-speak acronyms.

Thank you.

And I'm computer stupid , so thanks.

The Value rooms are about 3 feet shorter than the Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge rooms. Due to space constraints, the Value studios do not have the little storage bench seat that the other AKV studios do so you have less storage space in the room. The Value 1BR/2BRs do not have the sleeper chair that the non-Value rooms at AKV have so the occupancy numbers for the Values are lower 4/4/8 for the studio/1BR/2BR vs 4/5/9 for the non-Value rooms at AKV.
