Is Funtown that far from Hampton? about an hr maybe?
What about York's Wild Animal Kingdom?
any other that Im not thinking of?

Not sure what Funtown is, but there is an amusement park at Salisbury Beach just a few minutes by car from Hampton.

I believe Funtown/Splashtown is in Saco ME, about 45min to an hour North of Hampton. If you're looking for a waterpark, WaterCountry is in Portsmouth on Route 1, about 20 minutes north of Hampton.

What about Canobie Lake Park? Isn't that about 40 minutes or so from Hampton?

Yes, Canobie Lake isn't too far from Hampton. It's off of Rt. 93 in Salem NH.

The amusement area in Salisbury is ok. It has the usual beach stuff: food vendors with fried dough, lemonade, ice cream, pizza, fried clams, fudge shop. Plus they have arcade games, bumper cars, batting cages, a few rides. I used to go there often when living near that area.

I would personally skip Yorks Wild Animal. Went there 2 years ago with my sister and my niece's and felt bad for the animals, felt grossed out by the filthy rides. Couldn't wait to take a shower!

Canobie is a much better choice. Don't know about Funtown

Canobie Lake is alot of fun, and better than the ones you mentioned IMHO...We try to get there once a year or so :)
