Oh, I forgot to mention that I got another phone call from Disneyland the other day. It was on the 30th. The phone rang and the caller ID said Disneyland and the last time it said that, the manager from the Cafe Orleans was calling me.

So I'm thinking something might be wrong with our reservation and they can't seat us or something after all. Well, it wasn't the manager, who is a male, it was a female voice (Kristin or Kristy or something) and she asked for me, then apologized for taking so long to get back to me.

I'm thinking, "Huh??" She goes on to say how I left a message saying that I wanted to book a dinner at the Cafe Orleans and that's when it dawns on me, this person is the one I had originally left the messages with when I had first called!!! Apparently she is the large party booker that they had transfered me to, and she was barely getting back to me now.

Not sure why it took so long, she never did say. I told her I had already been in touch with the manager and was supposed to already have a reservation. She double checked and sure enough, there it was. Whew!

So it's all good, it's just funny that she was finally getting back to me. Guess it's a good thing I called back that one day and didn't sit around waiting. I would have been waiting for awhile.

I like Esmeralda and Megara from Hercules too. They are both just fun, and spunky characters. I wish they would do more with them. But the Princesses always over shadow them. LOL
Not that I don't like the Princesses, I do, but you know, it would just be nice to see them more. Pocahontas and Mulan too.

I feel the same way. When they first started pushing the princesses, I thought, why can't they also have an adventuresses' group. Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, Lilo, Megara; girls with some spunk who don't just sit around waiting for some man to save them.
And it really chaps my hide that Pocahontas is not considered one of the princesses. For heaven's sake, she's the only one who was a REAL princess.

Thanks! I've been waiting to get that off my chest for a long time.

I heard the Entertainment Schedule is out on the DL website through November so I'm going to go check that out today and see if I need to make any adjustments to our plans.

I don't think I will, but we'll see.

I'm also considering whether or not to add a breakfast to one of our days. I pretty much planned on just eating breakfast snacks like muffins, fruits, granola bars, trail mix, etc in our room to save money. But now I'm wondering about eating that meal out one day.

NOT a character breakfast. Too expensive for 6 people and we are already doing Ariel's Grotto.

ETA: Just called Disney Dining and learned that after Sept. 1st Cafe Orleans will no longer be doing breakfast. And Carnation Cafe didn't have the time I wanted so we'll either eat at Riverbelle Terrace, or snack on some goodies from the Bue Ribbon Bakery.

We never eat real breakfasts in the park. We either eat in our hotel room (just cereal and/or donuts), stop at Denny's on the way to the park, or get pastries and coffee and blue riboon bakery (I hope they still have chocolate filled croissants in January. Those are my favorite.)

I was at Michaels on Friday and saw this and thought of you:

Yeah, a lot of stuff will be closed. I was pretty bummed at everything that was going to be closed while we are there. Not that we haven't seen it all numerous times, I just hate that it's some of my favorite things! (Aladdin, Fantasmic and POTC)

Actually there is some confusion over whether POTC will be closed in October. It was originally on the refurb schedule to close on 10/13. Then it was removed from the schedule so everyone assumed it was in fact going to be open.

Then just today I read a thread on the DL board saying that it IS still going to be closed but they just took it off the schedule because of all the complaints they were receiving. WTH?? How does that make any sense??

I'd be more angry if I didn't see it on the schedule before hand and then arrived only to discover it was closed.

Well, whatever. I'm glad we had APs and got to go as often as we did. And I hope ya'll are able to do the same.

I'm wondering how many things will be closed for our trip in January. I'm expecting in the list to be pretty long. I just hope none of my favorites are closed.

Well, you can put a scarecrow in if you want. He's gone already. I tell ya, when it comes to certain things I am so fickle. I seem to change my sig and avatar at least weekly if not daily!!

Oh, and I tried to send you a PM the other day with one of those bouncing Mickeys that everyone has in their sigs, but it wouldn't go through for some reason.

That's a neat idea! An Adventuresses group. One of my twins is going to be Pocohontas for Halloween. The other Sleeping Beauty. So we try to keep a nice balance between the two extremes.

And I kind of agree on the whole waiting for a man to rescue you thing. I'm all for the true love aspect of it all, but it does always seem like they need to be saved in some way. That's why Enchanted was such a good movie. I thought so anyway. Not the same old storyline.

I also like this quote from Hercules, LOL.

In the end though, I'm still a sucker for the princesses.
