We are looking at taking the train, not the autotrain , just the normal one. My question is how did you get from train station to WDW. I would be traveling with 1 child (who needs a booster seat). Just curious if how people did it and their experiences.

how old is the child? can s/he use a backless booster as those fit in carryon. I would look at taxi or uber

for vacation I would look at a backless booster that can be placed in a carryon as she is not going to be able to use on train as no seatbelts

We are taking the train to Orlando in June and plan to call for an uber or use Happy Limo sedan service. Not sure which yet but leaning toward uber in case of a delay. Only thing is do a lot people call for uber? Can't help with the booster seat part but good luck!

how long will you be on the train? Had a relative who took train from Minneapolis to Miami and then the return and said NEVER again. Since they won't fly either they now will only travel by driving. Train ride can be tedious with a whistle blowing every 17 seconds for road crossings. Europe high speed long distance trains are a sweet ride ... AMTRAK can be punishment for your sins!

We've taken the auto train many times and loved it but YES! the whistle blowing at every train crossing does grate. I vowed for the next trip I'd bring a sleeping pill to try and sleep through it. This trip we're taking the non auton train one way from Baltimore to Orlando and then flying back. I will be packing the sleeping pills! lol
