Have you thought about going over during your Epcot or DHS visit? We plan to take a mid-day break while at DHS and get some. We might do Beaches & Cream to go instead, since we haven't been to either, but I am leaning toward Ample Hills.
If you're gonna get Beaches & Cream to go, I'd say skip it and do Ample Hills. The to-go menu at B&C is limited. Outside the Mickey Pants sundae (which I believe you can find at MK) it's nothing special. Ample Hills is unreal. We have it up in NYC and the cones alone are worth the trip!
There is one in NYC? I'm going to have to find it next time I'm in the city. A lot closer to NJ than Orlando

Oh no - can anyone confirm if this happens often? Perhaps this person went right when they first opened? I would be SO upset if I made a special trip out there for plain ol' vanilla ice cream!

Slim pickings for gluten free - seems like 3/4 of the flavors have cookies/cake in them. If I'm limited to plain chocolate or vanilla ice cream, we may stick with B&C since we'll be staying at BCV.
Has anyone else with celiac/other allergies been?
May I venture a guess that there is no seating in there?
