$$ Amount for January Dues Payment

For those of you on monthly auto-debit for your annual dues, was the $$ amount deducted in January different than the amount taken in February?

In years past, the $$ amount taken in January was always more. I always understood this was to adjust for any shortcomings/overages determined at the end of the previous year for property taxes estimates, etc...

But - this year - the $$ taken out on January 15th is the same as the amount coming out this morning (February 1st.)

Any idea why? Were all of their estimates correct to the penny?

I'm thinking it was easier to simply divide the number by 12 for the same amount every month than to do a different amount for January and have to change all the amounts for Feb to Dec. But you are correct that it is the first time that I can remember that January is the same amount as the rest of the year.
