Can anyone tell me where they got a pattern for the pillowcases? Also, do you have any pictures to share of the ones that you've made?

This sounds like something that I can do it my spare time and still make a difference.

Go to the ConKerr Cancer website and the pattern is there. It is really easy and only straight sewing. Good luck

I've looked at the instructions and am picturning it in my mind. "Fold the borner in half lengthwise" means the final pillowcase has the right side of the border both on the outside and the inside? Correct? Thanks. This looks like a lot of fun.

Yes, you are correct - the hem or border had the right side of the fabric on both the inside and outside of the pillowcase.

Woo hoo... I finally found a quilting shop near my house that allows for free use of their machines. I just have to supply the thread and materials and stuff.

There's two classes, one tomorrow and one on friday. I can go to both for about an hour each time. I hope that's enough to finish 10 pillowcases.

Here's a shot of the 3 I did this afternoon. Took a couple of hours to cut
the fabric and stitch them up. I did one row of regular stitches, and then
went around again with a zigzag.

There were 11 coupons for JoAnn fabrics in Sunday's paper... So I'm going over there tonight. I'll definatly cut and prep the fabric tonight so I all I have to do is sew tomorrow.

well there was a topic saying that GAD was reaching the limits. And each program elects how many volunteers it needs. I would go to the website and try contacting them to see if they have more spots for the GAD.
If not, i'm sure they'll appreciate the donations.
