AMEX Hilton Honors

So I applied and was approved for the card back in June. I met the $1k spending requirement and got the 50k points. There is now and "extended" offer out there that says if you spend an additional $1k you can get an additional 25k points.

I called AMEX to inquire about this, the operator checked with someone there and they said I should be eligible and that she was going to send a request to have it reflect on my account. Well I get a call the next day that that request was routed to the wrong area so I need to call Hilton Honors themselves. Well I did and the girl listened and made notes and sent me an email that I SHOULD be eligible for this. That she doesn't see why not.

But is this actually enough. I guess call me skeptical basically because I don't want to spend an extra $1000 and not get the points. She also sent me a link to the offer (she definitely knew what I was talking about) but there is still nothing on my account about this. If I click on that link to apply for it (and it's applying for the card all over again) any idea what would happen. Will this take my last cc application spot that I am saving for CSR, will they give me another card and I have to spend $2k at this point...Sorry for the many questions but I just want to try to be sure of what I am getting.

do they have a secure message link on your account page to request this? that way you have it in writing that they agree to the extra.

On my amex I didn't see any sm on the account. They have their toll free number or you can do a chat. And I did contact by chat, after I posted this but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about as they were looking for it on my account .
