Amex $30 statement credit

I got an email 12/19 about an offer from Amex that if I went to 6 of the 18 merchants listed in the promo I would get a $30 statement credit. I called Amex to see if it was legit and was assured it was. So I put my CC and security code in along with my name & email address. I got an error message. So I tried again. Same thing. Tried again a few hours later, this time I'm locked out for 24 hours. I tried 48 hours later, this time it says I've already registered. I call Amex, now they say there is no such offer and it must be a spoof!? WTH - I told them I verified it Sunday. They have no record of that call. I called the phone number from the back of my card, it wasn't like I used the one from the email. After 20 minutes they finally tell me the offer expired the end of November. Double WTH - I got the email 12/19, hello.

Anyone else get this offer?

I don't get emails from them but I think my husband does. And he didn't get this offer. I know I've logged in to our account a lot recently and there was no mention of this offer on their site.

I received this offer in my email! Im not going to be participating though, since I dont go to many of those place, but wanted to respond that you are not alone in receiving this offer.

I didnt get the email, but I did get one a few weeks ago about getting $25 back for using your AMEX at a small business if you registered your card.

That one was legit as the $25's back showed up on my on-line statment a few days ago.
