Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently. I think there are two other hotels very close, the Country Inn and Suites and I am not sure which other. I think you can use the other hotel's pools, but I'm not sure of that either. Does anyone know how far from the Buena Vista factory stores this is?

Thanks again. (I seem to be saying that a lot. This is the best site to find out info. and very quickly.)

We stood at the Amerisuites Calypso Cay last week for 2 nights. There is another hotel on site (Country Inn and Suites) as well as timeshare villas. The pool area can be used by anyone staying at one of those 3 places. We weren't thrilled with the hotel. It was OK - the most annoying thing was we were on the 6th floor and 1 of the 2 elevators had broken down and they seemed in no hurry to fix it. Since they seem to acommodate large school groups (there were cheerleading groups, band groups, and field hockey groups) it was very inconvenient to wait several very long minutes to get an elevator. We have a small daughter and walking up and down to the 6th floor really wasn't an option. The breakfast buffet was decent and they always have coffee in the lobby and popcorn for the kids in the afternoon. We were maybe 2-3 mins. away from from the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet on SR 535. Hope this helps!

We spent 8 nights there and enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of nights with a loud college-age group next door.

There were 3 pools and you could use any of the 3. Two were smaller and quieter, but not was warm. The big pool in the middle was heated warmly. It is the zero entry pool with a slide and squirting crabs. There was a small snack/drink bar poolside, plenty of lounge chairs & towels, and a pavilion which had live music at times. There is a small children's playground next to the pool, and the minigolf on the other side.

We chose CI over Amerisuites because of our extremely pleasant stays at CI in other areas, and because of a not-so-good stay at a different Amerisuites.

Breakfast was continental but plentiful. There was a self-serve toaster with bread, bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, jams; instant oatmeal, asstd muffins, asstd cereals, juices/milk/coffee/hotchoc. I think there were donuts too.

We loved it there and will likely stay there again if we go back in the near future.

They had a shuttle as well, but we didn't use it. Also you could get popcorn from the Amerisuites, and the Country Inn offered fresh-baked cookies.
