Is anybody else out there as impressed as I am with the quality of performances that these kids are throwing out there?

There seem to be two divisions in the group. The cutsey group and the more mature voice group. They could easily throw another group together with the five older kids. Tonight they sounded better than a lot of the adults on American Idol!!!

It's going to be a really tough decision for the next member of the band!

I said the same thing!

Do you think they put the sisters togehter so one wouldn't have hurt feelings? The younger one is much better than the older sis.

I like Taylor better than Tori. I was thinking the same thing when Tory made it. Are they there because they are sisters? There was another sister act that were good too but they didn't make the final cut for the show.

Wonder who will make it tonight? I feel that they might need another boy just to even the group out. Chantel has been in the top three twice now. The girl that sang last last night was fabulous but I don't see her in the group. I also liked the little brunette that was #4.

The last girl, Lucy Hale, who did the Blondie song, should be a solo artist, she's fantastic.

The little brunette, who sang Daydream Believer, Danielle White, has a beautiful voice. Is that the one you mean?

I just saw it for the first time last night. One of the boys really didn't impress me, but I don't remember his name but I thought that the girl who sang Daydream Believer was wonderful.

Those were also my favorites - I watched it last night, only for the second time since the competition started. Those kids can really sing! I think some of em blow the pants off of some of the adults that were actually in AI. I also liked the Melendez kid, he was good.

I think it's a tough decision. At first, I wasn't a fan of Lucy's. But now I think she is great. I'd like to see her get into the group.

Lucy has an amazing voice. So does Chantal. I would like to see those 2 in the group.
I also thought Tori & Taylor were both there because they are sisters.

Yes, if she was the one who had the crocheted hat on. My son asked why she was wearing a dew rag. I believe that the judge named Debbie really likes her. I like her more and more each week.

***spoiler from the show that was just on.***

Crap. Well hopefully Chantel will make the last spot. I thought she was better than Lucy.

Lucy doesn't seem to fit in the group with those three little ones. She seems way too mature.

Well we'll see what happens next week. I think AJ, Caitlyn, Danielle, and Chantal will make it in the music business anyway.

I just found this thread. I havve liked Danielle from the beginning, but was actually not impressed with her the last two weeks. I think it was very helpful to have the last performances with the existing group members. After all, they are not starting as soloists, but members of a group. I think that, just based on how each sounded WITH the group last week, Morgan was the best. That surprised me, because I have not been a fan of his. OH, well. We'll see tonight!

I wasn't a fan of Danielle's in the beginning but I think she did great towards the end. I thought the final member to be picked would have been Chantal, Morgan or AJ. What did you think of the performance of the group? I thought Chauncey was terrible. His voice didn't sound good and he didn't seem to do as well with the choreography as the others. I thought Morgan was much better than Chauncey.

I've never been a real fan of Morgan's either until I saw him perform with the group. He really did shine.

I'm glad Danielle made it. But I feel that the group needs another boy. I had always like Chantel until I saw her perform with the group. She did not do well. Just didn't mesh or something. AJ did real well with the group too. I'd like to see Tori out and replaced with one of the other boys.

I watched this show religiously with my daughters. Really got into it more than American Idle. They could be so cruel on AI. I was surprised that America didn't vote AJ in for two reasons - the group needed another boy, and he was the better of the two remaining boys.

I was surprised that Danielle made it in. She certainly deserved it, but I just didn't sense that she was as "popular" as the other remaining contestants.

I was blown away at the amount of talent the kids have. It was ashame that any of them had to be disappointed. But, you know what - they probaly have producer knocking on their doors with opportunities to make it in the music business.

AJ was a fun and wholesome show and extremely entertaining. I can't wait for next season!:D

Maybe it's the teacher in me(and there's a large portion that is)but I can't listen to those kids force notes the way they do for more than a minute or so at a time. The fact that they're attempting to sing music that is written for adults(once again the teacher in me)proves that these shows are more about exploiting the kids and less about the learning experience it could be. I can hear glimpses of decent voices in there, but it's often clouded by obnoxious warbling and feeble attempts to sound like X-Tina or miss Spears.

Once again I understand what the purpose of the show is...but thee kids grate on my nerves and the judges gushing over them only make things worse.

Well - to my untrained ears they sounded great. I did enjoy that they sang more classic rock and R&B type songs instead of the stuff that is more popular with that age group today. I noticed on AI they stick with the classics. I guess I'm not hard to please.;)

I don't want what I said to be taken as in insult. That wasn't my intention. What I meant was I'm around kids of talent every day and I see the unfortunate side of things and what producers, directors, and sadly parents sometimes do to their kids. Shows like AJ just bring to mind the negatives of the business in my mind.

That's all...of course this is all just one man's opinion.

I promise you - none taken over here. :D

Well I missed last night's show (caught the last 15 minutes), was there anything interesting?
I must say, not to be mean or offend anyone, that I did not really like the whole concept of this show. I mean, the weekly vote was for the favorite single performer, thus the resulting group consists of the 5 favorite single performers, with no thought as to how the group would sound as a whole. I did like the last episode, where the remaining contestants performed with the existing members, but I think it was too little too late. I just don't think the final group has enough range of different voices to make it interesting, but we'll have to wait and see. I hope I'm wrong.
As to the talent, I agree that a couple of the contestants were very good, but on the whole I have seen much more talent on Star Search.
Aaack! I know this sounds really negative, and I don't mean it to be. I wish the best for all of these kids, they worked very hard. I just was disappointed in the show as a whole. Am I the only one?
