Me too! This season just hasn't been the same.

BUT.... we did fight back then too! It was just more fun.

It was fun fighting! We playfully hated Archie. I will say this season I haven't been passionate about anybody like I was MJ or David Cook and it makes me sad. I do like Kris a lot though!

I don't know where this whole fight started but some people don't like Adam's style of music and that's ok.

Let's all get along so this thread doesn't get closed. We shouldn't bicker like middle school girls!!!

I agree. But do try to grasp that some people actually don't like his voice and theatrics. Has nothing to do with his sexuality. That said he does makes it perfectly clear. I say more power to him, but lets not pretend that Adam is mr. Clean cut getting a bad rap. He chooses every week to dress and act out his sexuality. You simply can't expect people to like him for that if they don't like his style.

Oh, I know b/c that's why I'm not a fan! I don't care for his voice, I could give two hoots about his sexual preference.

I have seen plenty of people being terribly mean to Danny simply because he is a Christian.

According to my sister some people on the AI forums are wishing the swine flu on him and literally wishing he'd fall off the face of the earth. Ridiculous.

I was at school all day, looks like there's some interesting things to catch up on...

You quoted a line from my post where I said Adam bit last night then go internet hunting for a line from a song that says we don't want haters. Which was a jab about my taking issue with being called a hater.

Wow surprised you asked that question? Um would you be a Adam lover if you didn't love the way he dresses??? Stupid question isn't it? I happen to think that Danny's voice is extremely sexy. I love the rasp. I don't know, did you give Danny a break about the bad note at the end of Dream on? Did you say he was having a bad night? Just a thought? Why when Adam stinks or lands in the bottom three is it, the show is rigged or the backup singer screwed up??

And I say no one DESERVES a title? It is for the American Idol, that means people have to like, connect and think they can sing. It has always been crazy to say the "best singer in America" because believe me there is always someone better.

I'm sorry if I offended you. (By the way, are you mocking my use of the word "wow"? I don't think that that is nice.) As a matter of fact, I like the way Adam sings but I wouldn't go as far as to call me an Adam lover. I just think he sounds better than the others this year. And I don't really like how he dresses that much, I just like how he sings.

It is not that I didn't give Danny a break on his bad note, I don't like how he sounds on any night even if I discount that horrible sound he made. Everyone including Danny admitted that it was bad. I may not have enjoyed Adam's performance last night but it wasn't because he hit an extremely loud bad note. The difference is that I thought Adam had one bad night vs. many bad nights for Danny. That is just my opinion and I thought that everyone came here after the weekly show and shared their take on the performances. That is interesting to read. Attacking others is not.

I don't think I said anything about the show being rigged (at least not lately). And why is it not valid to say that a back-up singer or the band distracted from a performance? I think that people are entitled to have that opinion. And while you took exception to my use of another word - "deserve", maybe you would approve of the word "should" instead. Someone will win after all and we all have an opinion on who that "should" be.

20% Kris and Danny making it to the finale.

My overwhelming thought from last night is....

I just can't imagine how it would feel to be standing on that stage in front of millions of people with my heart racing and my career hanging in the balance waiting for the critique of 4 adults old enough to be my parents who are too busy holding their hands over each other's mouths to even notice that I am waiting.

Why is this season more about the judges than contestants?????

The judges got to force their picks on us with the "wildcard" picks, keep their favorite in with the "save", and reduce the amount of time the contestants actually sing to give them more time for grand entrances, more talking, and I can't forget wrestling.

Just wanted to chime in with my disappointment in the judges "Romper Room" behavior. The show was down to 2 songs from 3 for the final three so that we can waste more time watching Simon and Paula punch each other, Cara made her inane faces and cover Simon's mouth, and see how Carrie hands out mosquito nets in Africa.

I learned a long time ago that Love means "look for good". I guess haters only "look for bad".

I got thru about twice in 2 hours. It was the first time in YEARS I stayed up to vote. No doubt Simon put the fire up under the butt of the Adam fans who have just been cooling out.... like ME!

Why do people who do not like Adam...really feel the need to trash him...I feel like they do trash him because he is so good..and they just don't like his personality.

I don't like Danny...but I do not feel the need to trash him all the time...
I liked Danny in the beginning..but he just doesn't have what it takes..in my opinion..but that doesn't mean I feel the need to trash him.

I feel a great need to trash Danny because I passionately dislike him but there are boards like Survivor Sucks that one can go to where it's OK to let loose with any language you want. There is a Danny hate thread there - long and very active, so if you feel the need.....

I agree!!! Anyone who listens to rock knows the difference between screeching and the "rock wail" (love that term! ) I'm a huge fan of Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, The Who... they all had the rock wail down, and Adam's right up there with the best of them. If you consider Adam's singing to be screeching then you're just not into rock (or at least that type of rock) because there's no denying that the guy's got an awesome voice. If you're not into that style of music then you're just not into it... nothing wrong with that. But Adam's not technically screeching... he's on key and sounds awesome. It's RIDICULOUSLY hard to be able to hit the notes he does! And you're right, he's not just a singer who blandly reproduces what others have already done... he's an artist. He has an ear for music like no one else up there and is able to do things with the songs none of the other contestants have been able to think of. He's going to put on an amazing show once he's out there on his own!

Very good post troobabiee7 - and I agree wholeheartedly. He was off last night, and I wish he had not gone for the rock wail in the U2 song but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's been "on" for more nights than anybody else and that he is the most talked about performer in 8 seasons of AI.

Like his interpretations or not, hate or covet the “glam” style, there’s no arguing the kid can match or out-wail just about any rocker alive today (and a few no longer with us), and do it all without the help of Autotune. To emphasize our point, Lambert covered Aerosmith’s “Cryin',” proving his pipes and range are basically inhuman by taking frontman Steven Tyler’s famous midsong breakdown a bringing it higher up the scale than even the scarf-adorned Tyler did during his “Dream On” heyday." I'm fairly certain the writer knows what she's talking about.

Years ago, DH and I were relocating and were house shopping. We visited a new neighborhood with very nice houses at pretty good prices. I noticed a bigass hill where a bigass hill ought not be and asked the guy showing us around what it was. He called it a "Land Reclamation Center" or something like that and changed the subject quickly. I asked, "Do you mean a landfill?" He repeated that it was a land reclamation center...or whatever the term was.....it was actually fancier than that, I just can't remember it.

I said, "Okay, whatever you want to call it.....Is there a bunch of rotting trash underneath that beautifully landscaped hill?" He had to admit there was. I said, "Alright then....It's a landfill."

You say "rock wail." I say "screech." Poe-tay-toe....Poe-tah-toe. All I know is, that NOISE sounds godawful.
