The first thing I said to DH when Adam started to sing was, "What's with those Spock ears?" Dang if he didn't keep them on for his second screech.....I mean, song.

"One"....The first 30 seconds was fine. Then his inner diva came out and the screeching commenced. He just can't help himself. Half the time, I couldn't understand WHAT he was singing.

"Crying"...I've never been a huge Aerosmith fan, but this is actually my fav Aerosmith song. He butchered that baby. Every screech was like a knife slicing through the lyrics and melody. Enough to make your ears bleed.

Every single thing he does is so OVERLY dramatic. So so so overdone. When he emotes, I swear he looks as if his teeth are being drilled without benefit of anesthesia. "Oh, the pain I feel. Let me SHOW you the exquisite pain I feel with my extraordinary facial contortions. And watch while I show you the gift to the world that is my tongue!" Uhhhh, no thanks. If I want that kind of "subtlety" in a performer, I'll just watch an old silent movie.

The love fest by the judges is ridiculous. They are so determined to have him in the final that they will not admit his performances often fall short, just in a different way than the other performers.

What are you talking about?? Adam has been very humble through the whole thing! Thanking the band, thanking the judges, warm fuzzies to the other contestants.

What else is there to do when people are fawning over you. And I don't see him humble, I see him as totally confident and in "humble act mode".

My overwhelming thought from last night is....

I just can't imagine how it would feel to be standing on that stage in front of millions of people with my heart racing and my career hanging in the balance waiting for the critique of 4 adults old enough to be my parents who are too busy holding their hands over each other's mouths to even notice that I am waiting.

Why is this season more about the judges than contestants?????

The judges got to force their picks on us with the "wildcard" picks, keep their favorite in with the "save", and reduce the amount of time the contestants actually sing to give them more time for grand entrances, more talking, and I can't forget wrestling.

Wow Amen, I totally agree with this post. Why did they only get to sing two songs this year? I swear this has been the year of too many changes! Four judges doesn't work, Duets????? What the heck was that? Only two songs on top three. The lineup of the acts has been crazy with Adam going last most weeks.

You know it really is you either like him or you don't. He is a rocker and yes rockers scream during songs! That is just the way it is. You either like hard rock music or you don't.

But you can not deny Adam has raw, natural talent.

I agree you either love it or hate it. I hate it, but mostly because he does the same thing with EVERY song. He just can't sing a ballad without showing that he can screech really, really high for a boy. I think the fact that he does the same thing each week is wearing on everyone. And it is so annoying that none of the judges say that. They just sit there in awe and the stupid girls cry and I swear Kara is having a private moment when he sings.

The reason Kris is still there is because he surprises everyone. Adam is the same every week just different clothes and different looks into the camera. He can sing, I give him that. But he is definitely wearing.

...I know Robin is gonna kill me for this, but, even though I am an 'Adam suppporter', I thought he sucked eggs BIG-TIME last night...my DH thought so too...AND, although, I don't think Kris has what it takes to win, his 2nd song was actually pretty good... go figure...

Adam has been the most gracious of them all..If you wathced the interveiws when they talked to them a couple weeks back...they all said they got along..and when ask which one supported everone the most...they all said, Adam

....although I am a huge Danny supporter, week after week Adam totally blows me away. However, I thought he was NOT good last night AT ALL....just wasn't feelin' it, dawg....[..and for the record: I really DO love rcok music! ]

Eh, that's kind of a broad statement. I like "hard" rock music, but I don't like every rock singer. I'm not all that sold on Adam, in fact. For sure, he is an amazing singer. The screaming has a place in a song, but he can do so much more than that. Instead, he screamed ALL of Cryin and that just wasn't necessary. Steven Tyler...my all time favorite screamer....doesn't even scream Cryin. At all. That didn't work for that song.

As the weeks go by, I like Adam less and Kris more.

Geesh, this crowd is rough. I'm not surprised the Adam haters are/were out in force. He finally gives one not-so-stellar performance (Cryin') and they pounce all over him from out of the woodwork. Particularly when it's down to the wire like this. Such desperation to try to get him out and keep him from winning.

I tried ALL NIGHT to get through for him and was unable.

Regardless. As I said in my review a few pages back...this was a stellar top 3. All of them deserve to be there and are talented guys. NO matter who wins at this point, we all won already. Such fun, such talent!

He reminded people NOT to sit on their laurels. Literally, 3 weeks ago I STOPPED voting because I seriously thought he didn't need my help. He seemed like a shoo in so why bother.

What happened. AI made SURE to put him in the bottom 3! Wow, what a wake up call!

Last year I knew David A was a threat to David C. A had teenaged girls texting their thumbs off! C got people who never voted in their lives supporting him. Fights to the finish attract audiences and passion. AI uses their vote counts to assure advertisers that people are watching with interest. They KNOW who they need in the top 2, and they'll get it.

I just hope my friend know he's owes me at fan fair as much as I voted last night.

This is the last night I'll be watching live, I'll be gone as of 2 am to Florida.

I wasn't able to watch Adam's version of Cryin', but I caught it on YouTube, and was completely disgusted with the background singer, who seemed determined to "outdo" Adam, if volume if (definitely) not in talent.

I love Aerosmith and would have loved to hear HIS version of it, without having to endure that stinky female voice competing with him.
