DH wanted me to rewind the episode so he could see Didi cry but listening to Kara, everytime she finds out someone plays an instrument she tells them that they should ALWAYS use the instrument with them.

what if some of them don't want to constantly use the instruments?? it's nice when people have a few different musical talents but sometimes people just want to sing without having to bother with anything else....

and i think i've filled my quota for offending people tonight so i think i'll be going now(i didn't know people got that worked up about celebs, i do apologize for making anyone THAT angry). see you all tomorrow night

Crystal Bowersox: "Long As I Can See The Light". Now I LOVES me some CCR, and this seems to be a very respectable rendition. I think Crystal is the front runner...boys AND girls, BUT I think she's Lillithfare material. Can't see anyone paying money to see just her. But she's good...very good.

BTW...is "misunderestimated" a word?

Haeley Vaughn: "The Climb". First let me say I HATE all of the nonsense she wears in her hair and OMG she's actually talking about her hair bands!!! HAHAHAHHA!!! I did not see that coming when I started typing. Anyhooo...anyone else notice that she has a lisp? And BOY does this song make it very pronounced. This is just painful. wow. Whose idea was it to put her through?? Wow...what was that last note??

Note...these morons put her through and NOW they tell her she needs work?? Duh.

Lacey Brown: "Kiss Me". One...NOT digging her fruit punch colored hair. Two...the singing, well, it's better than last week, but overall it's still a big ol' mess. It has an ugly karaoke sound to it. OMG!! Randy said it was karaoke too! I swear I'm psychic. Or, I'm just darn good at critiquing.

PS...I'm getting tired of Kara hanging on and flirting with Simon. I hated when Paula did it too.

Katie Stevens: "Put Your Records On". She IS adorable isn't she? Now THIS kiddo could be a total pop megastar. She has a terrific voice (except for the voice crack that just happened...eeek!). But yeah. She a'ight.

How many times are they going to harp on her age??

Didi Benami: "Lean On Me." WHY so many hokey song choices!!! They have so much to choose from, and we get Lean On Me?!? It seems almost like she keeps forgetting the changes she made to the song and keeps slipping into the "old" version. Not feeling this at all. She also sounds shaky. Afraid? Oh good..her voice keeps breaking.

Hmm...let me guess. "You're a beautiful girl/look terrific".? Come on judges, don't disappoint me! Thanks Ellen!!

Michelle Delamor: "With Arms Wide Open". A BIG risk...huge. Does she know what this song is about? Odd choice. Her voice is pretty good, but this is boring me to tears. I do NOT feel a connection to the song at all (perhaps since she is not an expectant father?). And that last note made my dogs tilt his head at the tv.

Note; When the first thing out of the judge's mouth is "nice outift", it isn't going to be good.

Lilly Allen: "A Change is Gonna Come". How many times has this song made an appearance on Idol? I'm not buying this soul vibe from her. Even her hair is white and her name is LILLY! I mean, Come ON! She could've picked a better song. This was not her best moment.

Katelyn Epperly: "The Scientist". Interesting choice. She has a sweet, legitamate voice. Very clean and pleasant. She looks stunning, and yeah it gave me chills. Can't be easy to play the piano with chunky shoes like that. My only other critique is that it was a tad lounge singer and slooooooow?

Holy heck. The judges agreed with me AGAIN! Slow, AND Kara loves her.

Paige Miles: "Walk Away". Seems nobody has much luck singing any former Idol contestants songs. She actually sounds a LOT like KC. But in this case that's a good thing. Aside from her popping her "p's" this sounds like a lot of fun. Nice.

Anyone notice Kara rocking out on the side? Ah...she wrote it. I get it. And Simon is pinching his nipples why??

Siobhan Magnus: "Think". Another Idol staple. Can she make it new? No. and there are a lot of notes she's inventing that may never have been heard before. Like that shriek just before the end. Ooookay. 10 bucks says the stupid judges loved it.

mmmmhmmmm. Where's my money.

Siobhan is my favorite girl this year, next to Crystal of course. I wasn't crazy about Siobhan's song choice tonight, but I think she worked it out in the end. (Pardon the Randy cliche!) I've dug up some of the music she made with Lunar Valve and I'm just enthralled with her depth and range. She's such an interesting person and she's been through a lot in her life even though her backstory hasn't been featured as much as some of the other contestants. I just love her. I love her personality, the way she dresses, the way she speaks, and her eclectic taste in music. She hasn't showcased half of what she can do on these live shows yet. Those of you who aren't impressed yet will be! I'm confident.

(You know....he closed his eyes, but he still had the painted on eyes that seemed as if they were looking at you...) I swear to you, I was not joking when I said she makes me think of Eddie Murphy doing his Buckwheat imitation. I fully expect her to start singing, "Meech out and dutch dumbody's an. Make this murl a better pace, ip du tan."

She is diabetic, not sure what specific complication it was, but it was probably something along the lines of she hasn't been eating right and/or checking her insulin.

I'm with those who really don't care who goes home. The girls are barely okay, and the guys about one step above that. There just isn't anyone this time around who 'rocks my socks off'. Not a good season at all....don't much care what the 'dawg' says.
