Is this the guy?

Matthew Burton Morris (born May 9, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter. The son of country music star Gary Morris, Morris made his show business debut on stage with his father. He was in the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club from 1991 to 1995 (Seasons 4–7). His songs have been recorded by artists including Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, and Christina Aguilera, the latter two scoring top ten US hits. Morris and Aguilera co-wrote five songs on her Stripped album, including the hit “Can’t Hold Us Down”[1]; they also wrote Kelly Clarkson’s hit, “Miss Independent.” Most recently a song of his appears on Reba McEntire's Reba: Duets album[2], which McEntire sings with Justin Timberlake.

In 2003, Morris recorded and released an independent album titled, UnSpoken. He performed at 2008's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and on September 23, 2008, released a five song EP, Backstage at Bonnaroo and Other Acoustic Performances. [3] In fall 2008 he toured extensively with Joan Osborne. [4] On January 22, 2010, Morris performed the song "Hallelujah" with Justin Timberlake on the Hope for Haiti Now telethon.

Morris is currently signed as a recording artist to Tennman Records. His debut album on Tennman, When Everything Breaks Open, was released on January 12, 2010.[5]

exactly one hour till Idol starts! Oh boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I hope they have decent song choices. The list they have to choose from isn't that bad, but I see a lot of cheese mixed with the pieces of gold on that list! :lmao:

Hmmm, considering his fanbase....maybe pink tourmaline? Around 3 karats worth? :cutie:

either that or fool's gold, a big chunk of it. :thumbsup2

Although, I heard there's a good selection of gouda or swiss available upon request. mmmmmm, cheesy goodness!

Spoiler time!!!

Casey James – Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow – Fleetwood Mac – Typical Casey, plaid electric guitar–playing was awesome
Lee Dwyze – The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkle – Had to sing twice due to tech difficulties, acoustic guitar, backup singers and
Tim Urban – Better Days – Goo Goo Dolls – Really good, his best week. Belting notes! Played acoustic guitar
Aaron Kelly – I Believe I Can Fly – Ruben Studdard song – Wasn’t pitchy, but very karaoke
Siobhan Magnus – When you Believe – Mariah and Whitney from the Prince of Egypt – Thought she was amazing, did pure soprano high notes. Butterflies on her arm, strapless dress, purpley water-colored
Michael Lynche – Hero – Alt rock version, probably Chad Kroeger feat. Josey Scott – Sang it with acoustic guitar, glory note at the end.
Crystal Bowersox – People Get Ready – started a capella no guitar – weird microphone stand and evening gown. Some pitchiness.

Thanks! I don't know why it's so hard for me to remember each week. I guess it's because I'm just not as excited about this season.

I think that's why as well. Usually each week I buy an iTunes studio version of a song from the season, and I forgot this past week. Even when I REMEMBERED, I just went "Oh.....oh well." :confused3

I wish I could just go on there, step on everyone's toes as they sing, have them act all spunky and quirky, and then go "There....act like THAT for the rest of the season....and don't suck." :cool1:

ahhhhh Tim's singing one of my favorite songs!! i'm excited about that!

Michael's choice is....odd....really odd....now i kind of understand Simon's comment from last week of "i don't know what kind of artist you want to be now"

Thanks for the spoilers! Who's comments are those about who was good or who wasn't?

For Aaron's song, do you mean the song BY Ruben? or is the song title correct and not the singer? because he didn't sing that song. Plus Ruben's song and the one you have are both on the list, and they talk about wings and flying lol :confused3
