American Idol Season 14 Official Thread

I think Phillip Phillips has been pretty successful. Not Carrie or Kelley level yet but his music has been all over the place.

Phil Phillips toured with FUN last year at a local stadium, I wont tickets from a radio station and my daughter and her friend went. She sent me pictures of the stadium, it was an outdoor stadium and it was maybe 1/4 filled- they actually asked everyone in the top to two levels to move down to the unsold bottom levels! It was sad.

LOL- he is very goofy looking, has weird lips- but its not just that, I don't care for his singing. Quassim I don't care for his looks or "singing" and he does really really weird things with his face. The other black guy that is the jimi Hendrix wanna-be I cant watch because his nose ring grosses me out but his singing is tolerable. I like Tyanna ( I think that is her name-the one with the big hair) she is really good, and I like Nick. Joey I can actually listen to and like if I close my eyes and don't look at her.

Those yellow teeth. Yuck! I wonder if there is some reason why she hasn't whitened them.

I also don't get the hair. I am OK with Aqua colored hair but why the purple skunk stripe down the middle? I do wonder how you can get your hair that pretty shade of Aqua. I can see a pale blonde being able to be dyed that color but it looks like anything darker would overpower that color. I guess that might mean that the Aqua is sprayed on top of a color.

The color of Joey's hair is doable if you have someone who knows what they are doing with mixing colors, I've seen it done before by creating certain colors together.

Thanks for the spoilers. I have to miss the show tonight so I listened to the iTunes samples. I won't spoil anything by specifically commenting but there were a couple of good performances but more not so good. I was surprised at a couple of the singers who had bad breath control. You could hear them taking little gulps of air on their recordings. I guess I don't notice that when watching the show but it is annoying to hear the breaths on the recordings.

Since the save is gone, will two of the eleven not sing tonight? That could be unfortunate because I suspect that one of the OK songs on the list might be one of the two leaving.
