Hi all. Sorry I missed tonight's show and of course I forgot to DVR it. On the Mj's blog to see if I can find the performances.

I'm watching it tonight, I'm probably going to end up rewatching tomorrow.

My delayed take on the show:
Tyanna - I kind of like this but she is shaky on the high notes.

Clark - Good but not my favorite from Clark. The band did overpower his voice early in the song.

Jax - Loud parts were OK but I did not like the quieter parts. She gets points for not using the affected pronunciations that have been in a lot of her songs.

Nick - Good job. I hope he keeps singing up tempo rock songs like this.

Quentin - Ewww, the nose ring is back! I didn't care for this, the delivery seemed angry and the singing wasn't that great.

Joey - She looks so different but much prettier tonight. I liked that performance.

Rayvon - That was pretty good but I think his voice was kind of subdued compared to the band. I liked the dancing.

Clark - I am showing my age but I liked that. Wow, Bill Medley is there.

Tyanna - Good job, better than her first song.

Nick - That was just so-so. I kept wanting him to pick up the tempo like the original

Quentin - That was much better than his first song but that song did not need that loud ending.

Jax - I did not like that at all.

Rayvon - Beautiful song, it is perfect for his voice.

Joey - Not bad but not that good.

Interesting night overall. It is hard to pick a favorite since I liked at least one of the songs from several idols. Nick, Clark, Tyanna and Rayvon all had good songs. It is easier to pick the one I thought was the worst - Jax. I think she has a lot of people voting on her looks/style so I don't know who will be in the bottom next week.

we watched last night and I am SOOO glad Harry called that Q kid out on his lack of respect for everyone. I hope he goes home next week. And I loved that Harry emphasized to Rayvon how classy he took being in the bottom all the time.

Story about Quentin's temper tantrum last night. Even though they didn't get the song title entirely correct.

we watched last night and I am SOOO glad Harry called that Q kid out on his lack of respect for everyone. I hope he goes home next week. And I loved that Harry emphasized to Rayvon how classy he took being in the bottom all the time.

Quentin's comments were just wrong. By calling the results wrong, whack or whatever he was really insulting those that got more votes. It is OK that you feel bad that your friend is in the bottom but you don't have to insult the others. Especially on a show that is giving you the biggest break in your life. I hate that all of his insulting drama is being used to rally votes for him. He does not deserve extra votes for acting like a spoiled child. Quentin was one of my favorites but I don't think the music world needs another diva.

Another Kanye wannabe who thinks his opinion of what makes good music is better than anyone else's.

I don't think he is a Kanye wannabe at all. He isn't saying that HE shouldn't go home or that HIS abilities are more than anyone else's. Kanye is a whole 'nother breed of hog.

Quentin obviously cares very much about his friends and he and Joey must be close. Last week he saw Quassim go home, another good friend. He wasn't saying the competition is "whack" he was just saying that he feels its "whack" that Joey and Trayvon may go home. He didn't say that he thought either of them were better than the others, he just seems to feel bad for his friends. I truly feel that his comments said out of emotion were taken differently than he meant them. If you listen to what he says to Harry, he says very clearly that he meant no disrespect to the competition.

The folks seem to get very close during the weeks of AI. They are bound to have mixed feelings every week they see someone they care about go home. I mean, how many people watch this show and get attached to one of the contestants and get frustrated when they go home. I don't see Quentin's frustration as any different. Maybe he wears his emotions on his sleeve but I just don't think he has the ego anywhere near what Kanye has. JMHO
