Is it just me or does Kristen come across to anyone else as being faker than a spray tan and about as deep as a sheet of notebook paper? I really don't understand what is making the judges fawn all over her.

Standouts for me.

The ones that made me look up to watch tonight.

• Majesty (her mannerisms remind me of Anika Noni Rose)
• Jessica

Emily and Ben had ‘moments’ for me. The rest were just meh.

The best bit of the show for me? The bromance. I really wanted to get between Harry and Keith when they hugged.


And I’m also one of those that has a sore spot about Bo Bice. I know Carrie’s a superstar and all that. But Bo completely owned that final.

I agree with you on all counts. Caleb and Alex were the best tonight. I'm starting to see some talent in Sam but he needs some time. I actually liked Jessica tonight and I must say that is the first time. I'm still waiting for an all male American Idol.

Overall I thought the guys were much better than the girls, with Caleb being the obvious standout.

My top three: Caleb, Alex and Dexter

After catching up with last nights show, I didn't see much to change my opinions of the 13. Sam is still my favorite. He might not have had an exciting performance but no one else overly impressed me. My other two favorites are Ben and Majesty and they were both good.

I don't get Malaya and Kristin. I thought they were terrible and I don't know why they are there.

MK was bad also. Someone up thread said she looked like Justin Bieber but I think that with the makeup she looks like a young Emma Thompson. She was pretty but enough with the backwards ball cap.

I will be in the minority this season but I don't care for Caleb. He may perform well but I agree with the karaoke description of his performance. I remember Bo Bice as a different type of singer. I thought he sang more of a southern rock thing than just the rocker that I hear from Caleb. By the way, I also thought Bo should have beat Carrie.

Right now I can't even remember the others.

Only one goes home tonight. I don't think there is a save this year, if there is it's not being talked about.

I went back and listened to Jessica, MK, Majesty and Alex on youtube. It's amazing how clear they sound without looking at them with a pair of headphones.

Jessica truly impressed me. She has a kind of non goat-y Stevie Nicks vibe about her voice.

Alex's voice warmed me.

Majesty was awesome.

MK sounded like buttah.

It's nice to be able to listen to them without distraction.

Last night I was looking at pinkish purple hair, a strange jaw line, a terrible color blocked dress and a backwards hat on Justin Bieber.
