I agree. There's some that are good, but none that I've been amazed by. But we have quite a few more auditions to go through.

remind me correctly but in past seasons when we had the road to hollywood where it was multiple cities wasn't that when we saw the best?

Each year I would be saying to myself, remember her/him for next round, in most stops.

They have let a few questionable people through. I guess they just want a lot of drama in Hollywood by letting the odd ones through.

It's not been every season but the very last episode was always like the best of each city. I know we've still got that and we'll probably see wow ones there

I just said to DH that I CANNOT STAND people who refer to others as "baby" all the time like JLO does. It sounds so disingenuous.

Seeing Nikki McKibben was just sad. The drugs/alcohol have taken their toll.

Really like Harry Connick's honesty about the talent (or lack thereof.) It's refreshing to hear FINALLY! He's the bright spot. He doesn't care if JLO or Keith agree with him or not. He is definitely the most educated judge on the panel this year. Glad "in it to win it" is gone from the judging table. I just wish we would stop hearing about JLO's GOOSIES!!!! That drives me nuts!!!!

I'm catching up on Idol.

I had to tape last night's show as we had visitors. So, I'm doing the 4 hour marathon right now.

I sure hope the talent gets better.

Another 30 minutes to go on the second show and I feel like I'm in a bad karaoke lounge. It feels like I've just lost 3 hours of my life watching all these good but not great try-outs.

I'm such a sweetie/sweaty boo-by/baby right now. Remind NEVER to do a 4-hour straight catch up again.

On the bright side, I liked how the judges interacted together.

I have a bad habit of doing that... I guess it's my "from the block" nature...

I haven't watched much of AI yet, still sitting taking up a large percentage of the DVR. Hope to get to some of it this weekend, I have FOUR days to lay around and be lazy!!

Baby and Sweetie are pretty common down here. Usually it is a habit but some do it to seem more personable.

Anyway, I am loving this season. Harry is a great judge and he knows what he is talking about. I do think there was one that he sort of dismissed just for lack of musical term knowledge.

Hoping there are some WOWS that we didn't see in the auditions.
