American Idol Season 13 Official Thread

Didn't know that Harry was a card-carrying member of the KISS Army... First time he's been out of his seat during a performance and jammin'.

Boy, they don't make guitars like they used to... At one time it took several whacks to break PIECES off. Now one smack and it breaks at the neck.

So apparently last night's show was the least watched episode ever. Not just finale but episode. Yikes. I guess that explains how this thread had less than a page about it.

There was to many shows up against it.

I watched it an hour after it came on. Before that was dinner and watching Judge Judy Primetime.

WAY too many. They were set up to fail. NBC won the night because there's was an ACTUAL finale, announcing a winner.

On NBC, The Voice finale earned a 3.3, up sharply from last week's series low 2.6 adults 18-49 rating, but way down from last spring's 4.4 adults 18-49 finale rating.

On ABC, the season finale of Dancing with the Stars earned a 2.4. down three tenths from the 2.7 adults 18-49 rating that last spring's finale earned.

On FOX, American Idol earned a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. The premiere of I Wanna Marry Harry scored a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, a special Judge Judy Primetime special earned a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. The ACM: All-Star Salute to the Troops special earned a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On the CW, Supernatural notched a 1.1, up three tenths from last week's 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Broadcast primetime ratings for Tuesday, May 20, 2014 (all Live+Same Day ratings):

I send commls to 60 stations across the country weekly, I know we're going to get screwed because of this war room fight for the viewer. Everyone ends up a loser in the end, though.

OUCH! I don't think I've ever seen an ACM special get that low in a while.

The numbers will go up with the DVR ratings added in. I'm sure DVRs were on FIRE last night. :p

Mine recorded Idol. :)

I guess some peeps needed those "Hopper" boxes offered by one of the satellite providers to record all the finales last night....
