And that's why we have snow birds, many people can only live in that for so long. I don't think I could ever live in the snow. It's nice to visit, but I like to be able to leave it. Just like some people probably feel about our lovely summers.

Robin doesn't watch the auditions..she'll join in during Hollywood weeks if I remember correctly.



Oh to be a snow bird..I am so ready to be that now. For the most part I love our summers. Mid May till mid September I'm pretty good with. Every time I think I have DH convinced that south for the winter when we retire is a good thing he changes his mind.

The winter I've been enjoying. Up till about a week ago I wasn't even wearing my heavy coat..just a fleece jacket except for 1 or 2 days. We only had 1 day with snow that was enough to shovel. No ice on Lake Erie..no ice anywhere. It was nice....although I knew it wouldn't last. Now of course open water on the lake is not a good thing since it brings in those nasty snow bands like we had today.

You guys...the boy from Milford, Ohio is from my hometown! I went to the high school he goes to! Apparently he is going to be transferring to a performing arts school in the Cincinnati Public schools but it's just so exciting to see someone from where I am from...same city and everything!!!

good show tonight! Quick question...does the show PAY the contestants to be on the show during ANY phase of the show?

From what I recall they make around $1k per appearance ...however, the big deal is making top 10 since going on tour gets them around 6 figures. I remember one of the past contestants saying they couldn't wait to make top 10 so they could buy a house.
