I absolutely love that song. And I loved his version of it.

I was fairly critical of him earlier in the season that I didn't think he was believable...well, I think he's changed. He was what, SEVEN when it happened?! I approve. I think he'll be huge in Country Music.

I liked it. The song has been overdone but I liked his simple approach to it.

I'm a HUGE Journey fan! Don't believe any of their music, could EVER be overdone.

I think Scotty will be the most successful. However, I didn't know this song and couldn't understand a word he said.

This song was written by Alan Jackson right after 9/11. Hence the "where were you when the world stopped turning"

For the longest time I couldn't listen to it without crying. Now I can get though it, still get sad, but not teary anymore.

And damo pretty much sums up my response:

I find that the judges always hate Haley. Their judging is so biased. James and Jacob can sing like crap and get a standing ovation. I didn't especially like this either but they only ever call Haley out.

I agree that Hayley wasn't that great, but James was pitchy and all over the place (and certainly was last week as well), but is never critiqued for that.

I usually don't care for contestants talking back, but Hayley has gotten nothing but junk from the judges this whole season while Jacob received ridiculous praise for unknown reasons.

At a certain point, you've got to feel defeated and I think that's how she feels now.

I can't take Scotty "the body" seriously... Thankfully, they have stopped comparing him to Johnny Cash, George Strait, etc. Pretty ridiculous. IMO

Why couldn't you understand what Scotty was saying when he was on? I thought he did a terrific job and you know what? That song can make me cry every time I hear it. But I would know if it was not sung well.

Lauren sounded okay. I missed the other two.

Honestly, the judges haven't given honest feedback hardly at all this season. And they should have at some point or another on every one of the contestants this season. But I don't think "haley has gotten nothing but junk from the judges" In my opinion, they should have given her more criticism at many other times throughout this competition. Just my opinion

Did anyone catch Haley's scoff at Randy when he said that Lauren, Scotty,and James did the best and not her. This is why she turns me off every week.

i am not a Haley fan (i'm not really an anyone fan at this point), but i do agree with you. James was terrible last week and they fawned all over him. and they barely criticize anyone else, even when they truly need it. but Haley keeps getting blasted because they don't like her song choice. i didn't think she sounded bad at all. i think she sounded exactly like she does every single week. they just don't like the song.

i do think Lauren did a much better job this week. she was so spunky during the original audition. where is that girl?
