What crude behavior are you talking about? The sweating, blinking, wincing, nervous behavior etc are all part of his diagnosis.

No, the conversations they have shown, the way he talks, and in general just his overall appearance. You don't notice the blinking, etc. unless you are really looking for it. It has nothing to do with his "diagnosis" and everything to do with his personality. Just because someone has a "diagnosis" doesn't excuse their behavior.

FWIW, his demeanor seems typical for an Aspie with Tourette's, particularly under the kind of stress they are all under. He hasn't lashed out at anyone, yelled, been rude. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about as far as his "demeanor/way he talks/appearance". You can certainly be a non-fan, but I can't understand AT ALL where you are coming from in your observations of him.

As to the last part..WHAT BEHAVIOR? be specific now. What has he done??

I did give you specifics--interesting that it is ok to bash Crystal for her crude behavior but not Durbin?? I'm sorry, but the impression I get from him is that he is crude, period. I also don't appreciate you jumping all over me because you ASSUME I don't like him because of his diagnosis--I just don't like him, period.

You obviously don't have a clue about aspergers then (The blinking is his tourettes) so here you go.....They appear to be insensitive towards other people’s feelings and unable to read between the lines. They don’t seem to be willing in sharing experiences or interests with people close to them. This is even present in young children.

They don’t pick up on non verbal communication and they lack a sense of what is socially appropriate to do. They avoid eye contact and mostly don’t like to be touched.

This may all seem like the unwillingness in responding to others however their behavior is characterized by an inability to understand how to interact socially. I emphasize the word inability because they sometimes want to socialize but just don’t know how to do it.

Their Asperger Syndrome behavior appears to lack empathy and may seem selfish to the untrained eye. One-sided conversations are common as well as long speeches about their own favourite subjects. They are unable to pick up on any signs of the other person losing interest or wanting to change the subject. Internal thoughts are often verbalized outloud without warning. Their honesty may result in remarks that offend others because the rule never to lie is taken too strict. Also their inflexibility and fear of change can cause anxiety which can lead to behavioral problems.

All these typical behaviors will effect the way they relate to the people arround them.

As for Crystal, her personality rubs me the wrong way. There has been comments she's made in interviews that kind of irk me.


But I will say this Nashville seems to be the hot spot for last season's Idols.

Which is fine. Feel free to dislike him. But you seemed to me to be "not liking him" because of things which clearly seemed to be his tics. I haven't seen him do anything crude (which I would imagine to be farting, burping, foul language etc).


You never adressed this point, but I will bring it up because I THINK this is one of the instances you're probably referring to...I would describe his eavesdropping on the Minors group to be RUDE as well as his talk of them needing their mommies. And I would agree with you (if that were one of the instances you are referring to, since you STILL have not given me any actual instances of his behavior you find objectionable, just a general "the way he talks/dresses"), that he was being a total jerk in that case.

In addition, I don't think he's fit to hold Adam Lambert's mic stand (since he likes to compare himself to Lambert...not even close IMO)

As for Bowersox...I didn't even watch Idol last year because the whole season was lame IMO and talentless with the exception of Crystal who was a true standout vocally. So where have I ever bashed Crystal or said it was okay to do so?
