American Idol Experience

If anyone is thinking of auditioning for the AIE I say GO FOR IT! DD and DH both did this and it was an awesome experience. They both auditioned early in the morning and got through to the live shows. There are only 21 people picked per day, so they were very excited to actually get throught the first bit. It does take quite a bit of time as they do your hair, makeup and you get a vocal coach and then you have to have a practice session.DH didn't make it through to the final, but DD did (she was the youngest contestant, she's 15) so we had to go back in the evening, so all in all it took pretty much the whole day. It was so worth the time it took. They shot a video of DD which involved her being interviewed and then her telling me that she had got through to the next round, then they shot the family dong some goofy dancing! She had a brilliant time and can't wait to do it again!!

I agree its awesome! I have terrible stage fright but I love singing so my DH encouraged me to try out. I did and everyone made me feel super comfy and not half as nervous as I thought I would be. It a really wonderful experience for anyone who loves singing and/or Idol
The fastpasses come in handy too

I absolutely HATE it but I don't like Pop Idol, X factor or anything similar.

Been in twice to see it at the Studios to please DS & DW not something I would choose to see.

Glad your family enjoyed the experience catherine, seems to be very popular, I didn't see the attraction working but I am proved wrong.

if DD wants to do it, i wouldn't object, but otherwise we'll skip it...
