American Idol Corey Clark kicked off show

I don't think they'll bring anyone back just to fill up the shows. I really hope they continue on with the eliminations this week. Whatever they decide, we'll know later today.

Well the website still lists him as a contestant. When Frenchie was kicked off it was noted right away. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

You know if your going to label someone an American Idol then the name better hold up!

What are the producers thinking???? Do I want my DD idolizing these kids??? No way!

I am all for 2nd chances and mistakes we have made, but sheesh I think there must have been some HONEST and talented kids that got over looked.

Good riddence Corey. I did not like any of his performances.

Whatever happened to innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty? I'm not at all happy with the perception of guilt simply because a charge was filed--the presumption should weigh in the favor of the accused. It sounds more like a family court matter than a criminal one--guess we won't know since once Corey is returned to the population we won't hear from him again.

Now, all of that said--I thought he'd be gone tonight anyway.

I'm sure they will go ahead with the elimination process this evening. Sure throws that door wide open to possibilities!

Whether he ends up being proved innocent or guilty, the fact is he still hid this incident from the show's producers. He should've been upfront about it and let the producers decide whether he should be allowed on the show. Besides, his court date is two weeks from today. How can he appear in court that day and appear live on the show the same night?

It was clear in the article that the problem was that he had not been upfront about the ongoing litigation he was involved in. It did mention Trenyce in the article. She evidently told them when she auditioned about her past and was allowed to stay.

It may well be that you're innocent until proven guilty, but the name of the show is "American Idol" - therefore there should be a higher standard. (it also sounded like he really resisted arrest - it wasn't just a little family sqaubble by the description I read.)

He should be outta there!
