American idol and disney cruise

One of the girls on american idol said she just finished working on one of the disney cruise ships. Did anyone els see that??

Another one of the people from the Magic had also tried out, but didn't make it. She was one of the counselors in the teen program and had told my daughter that while on the cruise in June.
Boy, the girl who did make it really had a great voice. I was hoping she'd make it since she had worked for Disney!

She sounded a lot like one of the muses in Hercules the MUSEical...this is a possibility. Hmmm...hope she makes it through tomorrow!

Yes, if she is the person I am thinking of, she was one of the Muses. One of the performers told us that someone from the ship had left the cast early to try out for American Idol, so I'm guessing it was her. She has a GREAT voice!

They have such talented performers on the ships. I hope that she goes far in the competition.

As soon as she opened her mouth to sing my husband and I both said.....A MUSE FROM HERCULES!!!

I would bet money that is what she did onboard!!! Hope she makes through to the semi finals!!!

Oh man! When Randy said that he didn't expect much from a cruise ship singer I told DH that it is obvious he hasn't ever been on a Disney cruise!!! She opened her mouth & I KNEW she had to have been one of the muses. You know that she has personality to back it up and can perform great. I can't wait to watch how she does tonight!

I think Randy must have been thinking of a lounge performer rather than an actress in a stage production.

Tony or Barb - do you happen to know if she was in the cast that was there in July, because she did look very familiar. We sat next to her and two other performers during one of the other shows.

I was rather upset with Randy for that comment also. Knowing what we know about the quality of DCL talent makes you wonder what the talent standard is on other lines doesn't it....

I just remember that her first name was Jennifer. I will be cheering her on too...she had a great voice!!

Jennifer was one of the Muses in the Hercules production on our Wonder cruise in July. I spoke to her on the final night when they are all in the lobby and I asked her what was "next" and she told me American Idol. We told her we would be looking for her! My son and I were soooo excited to see her make it to Hollywood. We dug out our cruise pics but only have one of her on the stage from a distance.

She has a terrific voice and we wish her all the best!

PS I'd like to give a shout out to Verandah Man. I don't post much, but I followed your story with Nate and was very touched. I've told many people about you. May God continue to bless you abundantly.
