This is a top 16 video that I had not seen before asking the contestants what they'd name their first album. DC comes on at around 2:23 in the clip and he says Eta Carinae. He says what it means but here's more on it:

He is just the coolest person EVER. I hope he remembers he said this. It would be a fantastic title with a great meaning behind it.

I love that man.

FYI - Eta Carinae is on his untitled 2nd album - the one that he finished up right before starting AI. I'm anticipating some kind of huge release with his two CDs and with a little help from his new label - they will be huge.

When I saw that footage, I showed Mr. marymrg. That is when he totally got "Cook'ed". Dh is a physics major and Astronomy is his hobby. Being the dork he is, he immediately got out some relevant article about it. Next thing I know, he starts playing Happy Together on the piano and then most of my family fell under the spell of David Cook. When DS 19 came home from college, he saw the Happy Together piano music out and did a really cool jazz version.

The only one I have left to convince is my daughter. But, she really likes Jason - even though she swears she doesn't watch Idol, but is always in the kitchen lurking when it's on.
