american groceries?

You can't bring much - definitely not with the luggage limits now - but if I don't have too much in my hand luggage I can fit 2 bottles and a few cans in!

For a while we had a shop near us that sold it, but it was about 1.20 a can! Unsurprisingly, the shop closed within a year!

Typical!
Does anyone else think that the American stuff that we can buy over here always tastes slightly different than the same stuff over there? I wonder if it's because we're not sitting in the Florida sun while munching/sipping :rolleyes1

The other way round too, English stuff (Cadburys) tastes no where near the same over there, not that I would buy it anyway at those prices :scared1:

Yeah ... I always wondered why that was.

Other things are different too - I use Pantene Smooth & Sleek shampoo and conditioner, and it's much thicker in the USA than it is when you buy it here. Weird.

Its because the so called American goods you can buy in the main over here are, well produced over here.
Beer for example, is normally brewed under licence, which is why Coors, bud etc taste different (but then again, so does San Miquel), most of the other versions are also produced under licence to UK/European conditions and control.

We always stock up on ADVIL, cannot get more than 16 tabs over here due to Uncle Tony's nanny attitude to pain killers.

Yeah, with us it was Tylenol PM. I won't say how many we brought back, in case customs are monitoring this ;) Like I said, though, our cases rattled all the way home!
