I'm almost positive I had the info from here about an outlet in Wisconsin. Does anyone have the info?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have been many times - obviously it is like any outlet where the merchandise is never the same - but there always seem to be good deals when I go - they have a lot of the outfits for the dolls and some furniture - they also have clothes for kids which are okay prices - I got the green xmas outfit for bitty baby for $8 before xmas. I guess it depends how far you live from it.

Also, there is an annual American Girl Warehouse Sale to benefit the Madison Childrens Museum.

It is held the second weekend of July and the tickets go on sale through ticketmaster in early June. If you go to the Madison Childrens Museum website, you can get on the mailing list.

The sale is incredible, and worth the seven bucks a ticket. We get the dolls for around 50 each and tons of outfits and stuff for the girls too. I usually get gorgeous dresses for my girls for around 5 bucks, swimsuits for about 2 bucks and lots of other bargains.

Definately worth checking out.

Current outfits available from the outlet today (it was my first trip - DH was there for State of WI job testing). Most of these are in the Holiday 2001 catalog. I have a few multiples that I will be listing on ebay so I would rather not post the prices here. If you want to check store price on something in particular below- PM me - I will let you know Saturday. (I will be gone tomorrow nite) - it may be gone by then though! They were not super cheap, but cheap enough that I should be able to make about $5 after fees on the outfits-cross my fingers. At least enough to pay for the stuff I bought DD!!!!! It would at least give you an idea of what stuff ran.

Spring Dress (blue floral)
Breezy Day
Urban
A great 'stripe' tank dress with long sleeve shirt- not sure of name - not in that catalog - that was $12. - winter styling.
Flower Power Tshirt/Jeans (she said the sweaters did not come in)
Valentines Outfit from last year or year before (a bit more expensive but still less than it originally was in catalog).
?Felicity's jacket & tshirt & tights - no khaki skirt though.
Pink tshirts
Undies - .50 per pair.
Black slip-ons. (DD said they were Josefinas).
Sandals - saw these with a couple outfits in the catalog.
Note - the above outfits did not include the shoes or any purses, barettes etc excep the Vday outfit which was complete. Most of the outfits did have a hangar with them.

I couldn't really get out of the lady how often they got the doll outfits in - but DH already told me he will NOT go pick up any packages from there while he is training for 6 weeks. Dang! It sounded like the doll stuff was hit or miss. Maybe if I make some $ on this bundle it will change his mind. I know they had added stuff since yesterday - I only bought a Vday, Breezy & Urban yesterday - the other stuff was put out since then.

Other items they had today that I didn't buy- Bitty Baby Pointsettia Set $8 (holiday 2001). BB Fall Leaves Set (?$16 or $18). A blue chair. AG skateboard & AG scooter. One was $10 I believe and the other ?$14 or $16? They had 2 of the dogs - one good box and one damaged box for $9 each.- I was going to grab the good one to resell but it disappeared by the time I got back to the counter. DD was mad I didn't bring her the other one. Yesterday one of the boom-boxes/karaoke chickabooms (old style) was $35 but I think it was gone today. Soccer sets - old color (orange or red) was $18 - a new one for $24. They had some of the mini-sets on the wall too and a bunch of the History Mystery books for $3 each. Tons of regular girls clothes - some on sale for up to 50% off - some not.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A FLYER WITH INFORMATION ABOUT NEXT YEAR'S EVENT, JULY 17 & 18 2004
Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Madison Children's Museum, 100 State Street, Madison, WI 53703, Att: Benefit Sale

So guess what day I am flying to Floriday - you guessed it!! July 17th! I was going from Mpls too - maybe I should fly from Madtown and try to get a ticket.

Grlzmom- Isn't it kind of just a madhouse stampede in there? Do they give you a basket or anything to carry stuff in? Since I haven't gotten there yet could you give me a little more detail?

Yes, it is a madhouse.

You must bring your own bags. I use dhs old military duffles. The tickets are sold in blocks of four with assigned times for entry beginning at 7:00 a.m.. You must call ticketmaster right away.

Believe it or not, we have always gotten lucky and got tickets for 7:30 or earlier last three years. They let people in every fifteen minutes. Once you leave, cant go back in. Outside they sell hotdogs, and other junk. There are portapotties outside. It is held in a warehouse, not a nice pretty department store :)

While you are outside waiting in your assigned time "line" they hand out pieces of paper with a map detailing which items are located where in the warehouse so you have a little while to study and get an idea of where to go first.

Yes, it is very busy, hectic, etc. but I have never encountered any pushing, shoving or snatching etc.

For example, last year the popular thing seemed to be the bitty baby twin dolls. Of course I needed those since we have boy/girl twins. I just went there first and threw them in my bag and moved on down the line. However, people with later times (probably anything after 9) didnt get the twins because they had limited supply.

They do put a limit on how many dolls you can buy, it changes from year to year based on supply.

A very popular item at the sale seems to be the trunks that store the doll and their clothes. These are about 50 bucks or so and in the catalogue the range over 100.

I always schedule my disney vacations around the sale, how sick is that?

Please pm me if you need some specifics either now or as it gets closer. I will try and help.
