Yes, it is a madhouse.
You must bring your own bags. I use dhs old military duffles. The tickets are sold in blocks of four with assigned times for entry beginning at 7:00 a.m.. You must call ticketmaster right away.
Believe it or not, we have always gotten lucky and got tickets for 7:30 or earlier last three years. They let people in every fifteen minutes. Once you leave, cant go back in. Outside they sell hotdogs, and other junk. There are portapotties outside. It is held in a warehouse, not a nice pretty department store
While you are outside waiting in your assigned time "line" they hand out pieces of paper with a map detailing which items are located where in the warehouse so you have a little while to study and get an idea of where to go first.
Yes, it is very busy, hectic, etc. but I have never encountered any pushing, shoving or snatching etc.
For example, last year the popular thing seemed to be the bitty baby twin dolls. Of course I needed those since we have boy/girl twins. I just went there first and threw them in my bag and moved on down the line. However, people with later times (probably anything after 9) didnt get the twins because they had limited supply.
They do put a limit on how many dolls you can buy, it changes from year to year based on supply.
A very popular item at the sale seems to be the trunks that store the doll and their clothes. These are about 50 bucks or so and in the catalogue the range over 100.
I always schedule my
disney vacations around the sale, how sick is that?
Please pm me if you need some specifics either now or as it gets closer. I will try and help.
