Has anyone used the American Express Lounge in Universal Studios?

I noticed that if you buy a Universal Orlando Annual Pass or Multi-Park Ticket with an American Express Card, you get access to the American Express Lounge. The Universal website states that there are complimentary light snacks and drinks in the lounge. If you have been to the AMEX lounge, what kind of snacks and drinks are offered?

Thanks.

Yes, we used the lounge the last time we visited Universal. It is only open a certain amount of time during the day (Like from 11 or 12 until 5) and they do check your AmEx card the moment you walk in the door. There is a nice bathroom in there, comfortable chairs, anda place to charge various electronic devices. The snacks are standard fare - small bottles of water in a mini fridge and pretzels/cheese-its and the like (Our Family Motto is Cheap is Good, Free is Better:thumbsup2). They were very very nice to us and the air conditioning was a big relief from the heat. It is a little hard to find - across from Shrek, but hidden behind a banner with just a plaque beside the door. Hope this helps.:goodvibes

Only 1 person in a party needs to show card or all adults? Only show AM Ex card right?

We missed it this past Friday. It is on the map. I looked for it 10A, found out it opened at 12P. Tried again at 5:03, and it had just closed. :headache: It's right next to the face painter. Just a plaque on the door, like the pp said. Maybe because it may not last long?

Do I have to keep my receipt from ticket purchase as well or does showing my Amex card suffice?

Thanks.

Just One person in the party has to show their card. Since I put the whole trip on the AmEx card I showed mine. Definitely worth the time if the sun gets to ya!!:drinking::teeth:

I couldn't find any info on Amex lounge on Universal website. What should I click on? Thanks:)

Here's some pics I found:

We have used the Amex lounge. All they ask to see is your Amex card. They do not ask to see your park ticket. They simply asked how we learned about it -- dh told them when we purchased tickets it was on the online ordering site.

When we went in January it was very cold so it was a nice place to warm up. They had small 8oz water bottles, little bags of pretzels and cheese its, and nature valley granola bars. You could have all you wanted I'm sure, but we had one water each and one granola bar and my girls shared a bag of pretzels. There was a TV and several magazines, and cell phone chargers.

It was nice to find a quiet spot to sit and re-charge with a snack and a drink!

Great information. Thanks for sharing. I hope it's still open when we are there May 10 - 20th. I believe it is listed as being open until May 15th. Love my Amex. I keep toying with the idea of cancelling since it has a yearly fee but they keep giving me little "perks" like this and the pre sale concert tix. ;)
