American Express -- Does WDW accept it?

I am thinking of getting the new travel card they have. But it is only good at places that accept American Express.

Here is what is on the website:

Your TravelFunds® Card


TravelFunds Cards may be purchased for yourself and for someone else. There is a one-time purchase fee of $14.95 per Card. The minimum initial order is $300. The maximum dollar amount that can be purchased over a 14-day period is $2750.00. You may purchase the TravelFunds Card with a debit, credit or charge card.

If purchasing multiple Cards (limit of 4 cards per purchase) the maximum combined dollar amount is $2750.00. You will have the opportunity to order additional cards after entering your shipping details.

Remember to allow up to 10 business days for First Class mail and 4-6 business days for UPS Express. This includes processing and personalization of your Card.

Watch the fees on these cards. THey charge something like $3 a withdrawal if you use an ATM !

No plans for using the ATM. I do not want to carry a ton of cash or my CC incase of losing them. I was planning on getting traveler checks but I think this may be easier.

Yes, AMEX is accepted all over WDW. The $15 initial fee sounds hefty for me though. Do you have a credit card that you don't have a balance on already? Why not just use that and pay off as soon as you get home and save yourself the $15 fee.

do you have a debit card with a visa/mc logo on it through your bank? If so, I would use that. This AMEX is pretty much the same thing.

I saw a commercial for this new AMEX card last night. It is pre-paid and it offers insurance with immediate "re-fill" if it is lost or stolen. My bank offers a pre-paid type card with a VISA logo, but if it is lost or stolen they can cancel it, but don't "insure" it like AMEX. The $15 might be worth it just for that, so I'm going to look into the AMEX further and may go with them for our December trip.
