American Eagle Outfitters Shipping

Has anyone had a problem with American Eagle shipping?

I recently took advantage of the 20% off code plus free shipping, however, I'm having a hard time receiving my order.

Placed first order December 6th for 2 coats, one was cancelled (out of stock) and I just received the other coat on December 17th. (11 days later!)

I placed another order on December 11 to replace the coat which was out of stock and i stil haven't received the order, I'm worried it won't arrive before Christmas.

I was told, the order was being shipped USPS Priorty Mail, it's going to Lewiston, New York. When I check the USPS site, all it says is "Received delivery notification".

How long does priorty mail usually take? I thought it was only 2-3 days?

Btw...I placed an order with Abercrombie on Friday(not free shipping) and received it Monday morning. Although, it was sent through Fedex.

I placed an order with the 20% off code last week. The order still shows "processing" on the web site. Good thing they are just for my daughter (not necessarily to Christmas) or I would be upset.

Eh! American eagle really got on my bad side a couple weeks ago. I had ordered about 14 shirts, sweaters etc.. For my Holiday trip. Well, after waiting over a week for the package. They sent me an email saying my order is under investigation.. Ok, so I call them and ask whats wrong. My telephone number didn't match up with my credit card. Oops so I put in my cell instead of my home number. So I gave them my home number. They say . "It doesn't match" What do you mean its my home number its never changed!!!! Apparently they thought I was lying and that the credit card I was using didn't belong to me. Even though I read them off all my info and it matched. Except for the number. They say they'll call me back and never did so I called back and they said they'd call back. Then I emailed and they say the order is going through. GREAT!! Its Two weeks later. Now I'm waiting for my package and its still isn't here. I email them again and my order has been cancelled! So, I gave up on that.

Then, I placed an order at aeropostale for my sisters christmas gifts. Made the order and waited... No tracking number was emailed. So I contact the company and 2 out of 13 things are out of stock so they cancelled my order. I have never had a company cancell a whole order because of two out of stock items. This was after dealing with american eagle so I said fine I'll buy it in stores. Well about 7 days later I get an email saying my order is being sent without the items. This is after I go to the store and spend another $200!!!! I was livid. Luckily I went back and returned everything after I unwrapped it all. At least this package actually came. Eventually.......

I've had similar experiences. I now avoid ordering from ae online if at all possible. The last time I ordered from them during the fall (ie not near a holiday) my order spent 4 days in processing and then 8-10 days (I'm not exactly sure but it was far too long) to arrive. I've ordered from Abercrombie and Hollister and never had such problems.

DD orders from them a lot & they are SLOW. We always laugh at all the states the package visits around us before it actually comes here.

I had a HORRIBLE experience w/ AE that I am too tired to recount right now, but they owe me a pair of jeans I'm sure I will never see.

I wish I had posted this thread before ordering from AE. I will never order online from them again, I can't believe the poor customer service, each time I call, I am told something different.

What I can't understand is why they take 7 days before they even ship your item out, or they cancel an item and don't call to tell you.

They did tell me that if the order does not come by Christmas and I don't want it any longer, that I can refuse the package and they will refund my money.

Still keeping my fingers crossed that it will arrive soon.

Did you actually get it 3 days after you placed the order or 3 days from when they shipped it? I think part of the problem is that they don't ship the items until at least a week after placing the order.

wow i was surprised by all the comments about being disappointed with American Eagle. I ordered on the american thanksgiving with free shipping & 15% off being advertised and received my order within the week and I'm in Canada so was pleasantly surprised now Gymboree was my problem....

I ordered gifts for Christmas from AE about a two weeks ago and had a code for free shipping. My stuff took about 4 days to get here.

I've ordered from them several times without any problems. On my last order a couple of weeks ago I noticed a couple of the items had been reduced in price. I called customer service and they sent me a giftcard for the difference in price (it was a nice surprise!).
